Nice plane! I am tempted to build one myself cause they look real fun to fly. So here is my question for you - it looked like your airspeed was only around a few miles per hour over stall. This scares me quite a bit as I am use to my vans RV6A which cruises about 140mph over stall. It seems that 4 mph over stall is not a big margin of safety especially if you loose power you would need to push that nose way down within a second or so or it would stall because there is not much weight momentum. How have you learned to deal with this ...
It's top speed is about 55 miles an hour. Because it's kind of heavy and only 28 horsepower its maximum climb rate is only about three to four hundred feet per minute on a good day you probably saw the plane and a slight climb without flaps and that was why it was nearest stall. But also that airspeed indicator reads too slow I usually factor in about 10 mile an hour extra then indicated
I built a 103 years ago. It cruised at 50 MPH, but stalled at about 28 MPH. Even then, stalls were very manageable. I used to climb up and stall mine just for the fun of it - like a falling leaf. It had no tendency to break to one side and spin. It just mushed ahead for as long as you wanted.
Being inside verse outside the plain is better like we are frying when you have it mirror to the tv I never watched the plain videos but looks fun I see good fishing ponds
I normally fly about a thousand feet above ground level. Because it's only 28 horsepower and has metal gear and parachute it's heavier than a normal 1030r Minimax I haven't tried to see how high can go that would depend on the temperature but probably three to four thousand feet above ground level would be the absolute maximum
I'm ready to do that in mine glad u posted this I can see what to expect

Did you build this from plans or from the kit?
why did the motor sound like mr krabs walking lmao
Nice fabric skin job on your bird. What was that pinging noise at the beginning?
How good are these to fly?
Thanks for the video 🙂🙂

how long can you fly one of these? what is the range? would you fly it to another airport and trust it? most of these flights dont exceed 15 minutes.
I believe its about 30 minutes of flight time, though with two tanks its about an hour
Any baggage space on a Mini Max? Like enough to go camping?
Zero space
HOW MUCH NICER WOULD A 1/2 VW SOUND,... thanks for the video.
I agree, and it would be much more reliable

Can't speak for the Mini-MAX, but I managed 13,000 ft in a Quicksilver. Not that pleasant, I might add.
