My heart is so... full. This journey is the best and most relatable one out there. The fact that little shan is literally me from 2 years ago is absolutely crazy to me because I do believe her now. Things do get better and it does get easier and seeing that I'm still in high school and that I still have a longer way to go with so much more surprises and hopefully more happiness it makes me so excited for the future and I guarantee you that feeling was not there 2 years ago 😅. I'm so glad you shared this! Oh how I wish I had seen your video 8 years ago. It really does get better. I am so inspired by you and how you share so openly about your journey. I try to remind myself to be that brave. I'm 26 and was also in a sorority.. now considering joining the Junior League in my city. Its so intimidating to be in a room with 60 + women and wonder and have doubts about weather they will accept me. Most are married, with kids or engaged (South Louisiana). I think I am the only one who is an open lesbian, but I have similar interests and goals as these women and my sexual orientation should not matter or even be a thought. But, its scary, and I remind myself of what you are doing and how seeing you and your videos has helped me, and it makes me realize that I can be an example too, that just because I am gay does not mean I need to hide, or not do the things that I love. Hopefully becoming an involved and public figure in my community will help younger girls see that its okay, and if I can do for them what you have done for all of us, then I will be very proud of myself.
