Hello friends, thank you for making this video so popular! I've made one adjustment to this tab (end of section A), plus fixed the missing beat in this performance in a brand new Romanza video. Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/uGr606OWK5U/v-deo.html I've also made an exclusive tutorial for this piece on my Patreon so everyone can access it instead of being exclusive to my course(s): www.patreon.com/mkfingerstyleacademy Enjoy
It will come with time. Or perhaps you should consider lessons, you'd be surprised at how much you can already do with proper guidance. I also have monthly Live Streams on my Patreon for $5/month alongside all the PDFs. I can dedicate next month's live stream to Romanza In any case, the trick is to keep chipping away at a piece while being focused for a 2-4 week period. Too long and you'll lose focus, and too short can't be done considering most adult's busy schedulues best of luck :)
I"m posting an updated version this month, keep an eye for it and send me an email to receive that PDF. Also, tutorial will be posted on Patreon that'll help stitch the instrument to the tab for you :D
You'll get there, I have a course that teaches you how to play it but I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials on the web, although not the same fingerings or notes. Best of luck
Hey there! I am practicing this and wondering if there is an extra set of notes written in the transition between measures 7-8 where the tab 5-5-5 repeats twice. I think you might only be playing it once? Also you make the fast bar notes look super easy! So impressive!
You have multiple ways of doing it: - Enroll into a course that teaches it or get private lessons (I provide both) - Follow the tab and read the fingerings on the sheet music (I provide that via my store or on the video's screen) - Follow the tab only (give you the frets and strings, it is on the screen) I've given you all the resource types available to answer your question. If you don't know how to read fingerings yet consider joining my Ukulele Fingerstyle Basics course. Good luck!
Help... please. In the first section I just can't get the 778,878,778,1178,878,778 bit. Been trying 6 months , tried different ukes too. Just deaden the strings. Can't even get second bar of major section. Lessons I guess. Please help
Hello Emma You could get lessons from me or someone else, but I'd say, the much cheaper and better alternative is to try Ukulele Fingerstyle Basics course. There is a full tutorial for Romanza in it, you also get access to the lessons that teach you the concepts required for Romanza such as Position Shifts, Legato Tips, Bar Chords, and Right Hand String Sets. These alone when combined are easily 2 lessons on their own, add Romanza and you're looking at 4 to 6 lessons. The course is the same price as 3 lessons plus you get access to 35 other songs and about 6 hours of technique lessons (the whole thing is 12 hours long, 110 lectures). Here is a link to the course: www.ukefingerstylebasics.com/ That'd be my advice, Romanza is very popular and lots of people found success in that tutorial. If you need lessons though let me know via my website and we can get you sorted :), Its still cheaper and more efficient to get the course first then book a single lesson than a series of lessons. Either way, you shouldn't spend 6 months on the piece!!! It is grade 4, you could try some of the easier grade 3 or 2 pieces Best of luck!!!!
@@MKFingerstyleAcademy i was trying to learn from this and something kept sounding off when i was playing along with you and i finally realized why. However the instruction and playing is amazing and I thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Yes I think I miss a beat somewhere so I'm assuming its the 2:17 mark you spotted :), I'm glad you are enjoying it, send me a video when you can play the A or B (or both) sections, I'd love to listen :)
I hate to point it out a year later, but also missed the second 555 at 0:14 lol. Same as your previous comment though, I am currently trying to learn through your video(s), thank you very much for the upload!

Nice to hear the melody. How sweet it is!
Stunning. Loved listening to this. Perhaps playing is beyond my skill level so far.

Magnifique musique du film jeux interdits 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wow quel musique touchante / raffinée !!!
What string brand is this? And ukulele type ?
Epic😮
I have a tenor uke. I purchased the tab. Now I have to try to put the two together😊 (giggle)...

Yup I miss a beat :)
Okay phew I was questioning myself so much haha, I even played it on 0.5x speed because I’m historically quite bad at music math 😂 many thanks!
Great! is this in standard ukelele tuning?
Low G
Beautiful🫠 Respect👌Could you maybe do "Bandolero" (Don Omar & Vincente Calderon) ¿?
💖🌼
Beautiful. But something sounds off around measure 8. Like a measure is missing or something.
👏👏👏
What kind of strings are used here. It’s not the typical G C E A configuration
That's low G, and C E A tuning
So sorry , did you miss out on playing the first triplet of Bar 8 ?
Yup, I missed the downbeat but this take had all the other position shifts spot on so I left it as is - the curse of camera!!
Anyone knows how to decide 1. Left hand - what fingers to press what frets 2. Right hand -what fingers to pick what strings ? Thanks

@@MKFingerstyleAcademy thanks will do. Is this low g
Really? No one knew who originally composed this beautiful piece???
Well we know no one bothered to write the name down :D
How does one add low g to their uke?
you replace your 4th high g string with a low g string.
@@MKFingerstyleAcademy Thanks. Are there any particular brands you recommend?
you missed the 555 at 2:17
Yes I did . . . . . . .
