people are so happy about Robocop cause this is the way games were the last time many of us remember... feeling less cynical about the industry.
It used to be that you got a game, and experienced that concept play out, it seemed like the best games were all wildly different from each other. Many unique experiences.
But things have become so homogenized, and optimized to crowdplease...

I bought the Alex Murphy edition immediately after finishing the demo and I absolutely don't regret it.
My only real criticism is you can't pet the kitties and that makes me sad.
RoboCop: Rogue City is a living proof of how the Teyon studio can improve in less than 10 years (they developed the Rambo game)!

The Rambo game was just as ambitious but they didn't have the resources and weren't given the resources to do it they didn't have the technology and videogames that tried to do things like that cost too much to make and most studios didn't want to spend that much on games now that they were able get the technology and everything they needed now they were able to make their games as ambitious as they want if they redo Rambo it will be great

Its actually insane how close they got to not just how the movie felt but actually visiting the set of RoboCop 2 gave me a unique perspective on the RoboCop movies and I've never experienced that again since the early 90s and this game has that its difficult to explaim but its there and thats pretty incredible
There is so many tiny unnecessary details in this game, I love it. My favorite is when you let the Graffiti artist go as he pleases, you'll start seeing pro-robocop graffiti turn up here and there.
I think I fell in love with this game when the motorbike enemies crashed into me and they exploded, while robocop remained dead still
Now that Teyon has gotten so good at semi-open licensed action RPGs about 80s robot boys, their next game had better be Short Circuit: Rogue Suburb or something.

We urgently need a Judge Dredd game and this game deus ex lite structure just feels like training to do so. Lets hope. I actually i think they went backwards on the models, they felt better in UE4 Resistance, maybe its inexperience with UE5.
Actually I thought about Judge Dredd after a few minutes of the Robocop shooting footage too.

Just the fact that they got ACTUAL Robocop himself Peter Weller to reprise his role after so many years automatically makes me love the game even more. The guy has such an iconic voice, I don't even think it can be replaced ❤
I was already interested, but this video got me to buy the game. Spent the whole weekend playing through it. It’s got some jank to it, but the gunplay is so fun and the way Tayon captured the feel of the movies so perfectly completely outweighed any problems I had with it. Absolute must play for a Robocop fan

As it turned out, Robocop was an OPTIMISTIC vision of Detroit's future.
This desperately needs a new game plus and a level select. It’s criminal they didn’t include a level select at least. There’s not nearly enough xp to get all skills and I’d love to play again, but not with abilities from scratch
Just finished it today, it was a really surprising good game
What should they do next? Obviously a judge dredd game because if the movie dread isn’t getting a sequel then use the script if there is one and base it off that and hire Karl urban for voice over and likeness or if that’s to expensive at least his likeness. I think that would be awesome and the predator would be a good idea like you said.
I’m so happy terminator resistance wasn’t a fluke and they nailed the hell out of robocop, even more suprised how satisfying and destructive all the weapons feel. Only nitpick I have in the few hours I spent is I wish the fast walk was faster in the hub areas robocops tank speed is fine in combat but when you’re exploring it can be a tad slow esp if a side mission involves backtracking.
Ah good RoboCop game WITH CATS?! Count me in cant wait to play this when it Drops.

I just want to say that the Robocop character has legs. You doing him is funny and he could pop up in any video. Just saying, I’m not an expert, I am, I’m not. Also you are the only person I watch playing games, so you get…. 7/10 which is a lot.

I'm not even a huge robocop fan, I remember it from my childhood days, but this game is just is epic, so wholesome. Im more excited for this then that Spiderman 2 I played last month.
28:42 If I had nickel for every game I played that takes place in a dystopian Detroit that you explore in hubs, and has a point-based upgrade system that encourages you to explore your surroundings for more XP, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
When people take hostages you should get a slowed down time QTE like those ones in Spider-Man where you drag the stick into the circle and then press a button, in this case to pull of some sort of shot to save the hostage. That would just make a lot of sense to me, and I think similar QTEs may have been used for hostage rescuing in other games, too.
Props for this studio getting better at making games looks really fun

This game should have a dedicated quip button, like in that one Terminator game...damn that was sooo much fun!
Now all we need now is a Judge Dredd game in the same style as terminator resistance and this game so the trifecta will be complete
I know most people don't like Robocop 2014, but I hope if this game is successful enough they do a videogame sequel for that movie. I think it has a lot more video game potential then it did movie-potential and they can go nuts with the script and do anything their heart desires.
This actually looks surprisingly solid and fun. Definitely putting it on my wishlist.
This just makes me wish we had another Judge Dredd game. Hell, the licence to the comics is owned by Rebellion, so I'm surprised we haven't seen more. Dredd in general is just such an underrated franchise, especially the early years of the original comic where it was more of a tongue-in-cheek satire.

Fun Fact: The whole "baby food" thing with RoboCop is a joke gone off the rails. The story is that when his "console" was installed in the police headquarters, the bigwigs had to inspect it. When inquiring what kind of sustenance RoboCop has to take, they were given a sample on a paper cup via a dispenser on the console. This "Paste" was a nutrient paste meant to sustain RoboCop's remaining biological factors, but it was not baby food at all. The joke got born from the fact that when the bigwigs had a taste of the thing, the reaction given was "It tastes like baby food." It actually seems to be more like astronaut food paste and is meant to be "drunk" from paper cups.
Man there are so many little details. I know they are scripted but just the attention to detail is amazing. ... Right as I see the guy sit in a box. okay you get me though. This would be fun just as a digital tourist.
