    Under half an hour he explained everything that I learned in a year.
    Awesome presentation.

    I recently graduated with a honours bachelor in electrical and electronics, and I’m extremely interested in this field... Hopefully I get a job in this field soon. This presentation made me love controls even more.

    I just got done taking a controls class. I loved it. However I really wish we would have had a lab. That would have been cool

    This good presentation gives strong intuition about control theory. Thanks for sharing knowledge.

    I think it is a better way to teach classical theory first before the modern theory. and I like to know the textbook for this course?

      Thank you! To learn more about control theory, consider these textbooks: "Feedback Control of Dynamic Systems" (Franklin, Powell, Emami-Naeini) and "Modern Control Engineering" (Ogata).

    Good presentation!
    I’m a Control Engineering student from Brazil, and I must start my undergraduate thesis this
    month.
    Do you have some advice from a theme for me? I want to do some controller but I don’t yet know what good to control, because I don’t want to do something ordinary.
    Thanks!

    What kind of physics beside classical mechanics is used in controls engineering ?

    • @aurkom
      @aurkom 3 роки тому

      Not much, electronic, etc, then it's basically math beyond that.

      Depends on the system you're trying to control.. I know that control theory seems very "mechanical" but that's just because it has many applications in mechanics.. The mathematics of control theory (Differential Equations and Laplace Analysis) are very abstract and generic.. Even if a new "kind of physics" was discovered, this physics can still be controlled using the tools.
      To better answer your question, control engineering can be used to control the strength of a magnet, for example, so you can apply using electromagnetism. It can be used to control the angle of a satellite dish receiver, or control the focal length of a converging lens to properly view objects varying distances away (aka your eye!).
      Understand the fundamentals, and you'll be able to apply however you want.
