- Burj Al Babas in Turkey has got to be one of the most bizarre spots on the planet and it’s not hard to see why!
Located about halfway between Istanbul and Ankara, this abandoned housing development was once intended to be luxury villas and vacation homes for wealthy tourists.
Each of the homes are clustered too close to each other. There’s no back yard or front yard. There are no room for trees.
Yeah, because if I buy a fairy tale castle like McMansion, I totally want to do that in an area that has them lined up like boxes in a supermarket. WHO THE HECK HAS IDEAS LIKE THAT? And who approves them? Ridiculous.
Well....ask this Erdogan! It´s their dumbfolded wannabe dictator......i think his party approved that because of "Bakshish"...🤣 poor turks

imagine the tens of thousands of hours of work put into this for nothing
This is so bizarre. I can’t imagine who thought this would actually be a good idea or who would be stupid enough to fund a project like this
Good grief, that is an abomination! They destroyed the whole area for this sht!
At the start of project, build 10 homes and lots to completion, sell all 10 before building the next set. Build the other buildings/stores etc, by priority and as $ allow. Since 500+ are built, take the first 10, complete, sell at a reasonable price. Protect, board, the remaining homes, install street lighting to vacant home streets also, hire security and install cameras. The 10 will sell, move to the next 10. Continue until all homes are completed. They will sell, some home owners do not want large yards or mind they look identical. The homes can be painted different colors / things added to bring a uniqueness to each structure, if desired. There is an economical way to save this community. And it should be saved.
If you could afford a house in this price tag bracket, why would you want it to look identical to the other thousand houses on your street? 🤔
Great project but the density of buildings is 10 to 20 times too high!!!
Because the villa project built in the midlle of nowhere, far from popultaion suchbas village or city, that is why the buyer doubt or cancel their payment.
Looks like miniature project model..!
How can we buy one of these? Or live there? Way to help put an end to homelessness
Please don´t buy it! Go simply inside and life there....nobody will care in turkey....the have lot´s of other problems!

Why did they make them all totally identical? If they were just slightly different and laid out differently, it would be a lot less weird.
