In our society, a major contribution towards parents being submissive is from the grandparents, especially the dada and dadi who humiliate the mother for trying to discipline the child, even softly. Grandparents need to be educated and stopped from interfering where it isn't required.

@@Faizan-A-Khan You have your opinion, I have my own based on what I have faced and seen all around me. I have rarely seen parents humiliate their daughter for her way of parenting because they understand their daughter is also learning and growing as a person and as a mother based on the challenges life throws at her. The in laws on the other hand, are usually not so understanding. Hence the reason I mentioned "Dada Dadi" specifically. You may have a different opinion based on whatever you have experienced. Not everything has to be according to your way of thinking to sound "rational".
To MuhammadFaizan5900 or whoever he is, I can't reply directly to him since he has insulted and then prevented me from replying like a coward. Shows your emotional maturity. You are blowing the whole thing out of proportions and taking a simple comment in some extremely unrelated direction. I haven't cursed my parents in law and I am not married to an idiot, watch your insolent mouth please. Don't make a spectacle of your "tarbiyat" and "level of education". You seem to be approaching this whole thing with prejudice in mind which is why you are getting highly worked up, rude and offensive over it. You need to understand everyone has an opinion and you can't misinterpret and then degrade someone for not thinking like you. Everyone has unique life experiences that help them form an outlook on life and one comment cannot give you an insight into that person's personality, their nature or their experiences. You need to start thinking practically and not immediately turn into a big crybaby who insults everyone who will not think their way. You can come back for discussions when you grow up, I cannot waste time on the likes of you. Bye.

Dear Sir, I try say no when it is required and try to stick with ot regardless of my 4 year old daughter’s tantrums. But I feel her tone is very commanding sometimes she behaves so on track and do all the things I make her learn to do but sometimes she just refuses to do everything. I feel not sure what is wrong am I doing. I am not very strict, friendly but in terms of respect and some other important things I am firm. Please guide .
