not necessary , but you could apply ply for multiple time use of screw on it.

just use bathroom tiles, make sure you cover with bathroom tiles wall to wall not leaving those walls , and 100% tiled under dish wash basen and wall to wall till 7 feet, 0% space place for wall paint.

Informative video but the taps should have been in line with the sink. One of the taps is too far to the left so the spout has been turned right so water end up in the sink. Alternative is the sink could have moved an inch or 2 to the left.
