    • @timeisahumanconstruct9251
      @timeisahumanconstruct9251 Місяць тому +2

      True, but the Playoff committee will usually align with the NCAA. For example if the NCAA decides to vacate UM's first seven games of 2023 (games with Stallion on the staff) then the Big Ten would most likely decide UM was ineligible for the BIG championship game and vacate their conference championship. The Playoff committee would then most likely decide UM was ineligible for the playoffs thus vacating their national title. This scenario is a possibility.

Dont all offensive coordinators get investigated by the FBI for cyber crimes before getting fired? Don't all players have an LLC with interns? Dont all staffs flee a program after a NC?

  • @mark8337
    @mark8337 Місяць тому

    I know people have to cover it. But personally I care less. It’s playground level stuff. If a coach decides they want to gain a possible advantage by speeding up play and forsaking a huddle or sending a substitute player in with the play by using signs from the sidelines for all to see, they do it knowing people will try to decode the signs. If they think all the other national brands/programs haven’t had their share of grey area/cheating scandals, they’re very naive. The NCAA is increasing,y becoming irrelevant.

      You are right. Any Ohio St. fan who is fair-minded would have to agree with that. However, what about the two years prior when they were winning Big Ten titles , beating Ohio St (who had CJ Stroud) by using the Stallion's Signal Stealing Scam?
      Not only Ohio St but other schools as well. It changed the outcome of games and coaches lose their jobs if they don't win games. It is one thing to commit recruiting violations or having alums paying players (prior to NIL) but to impact the outcome of a game by illegal actions is a travesty. Right up there with point shaving. Keep your Natty but admit you cheated for two whole seasons and pay the price for that. Tressel lost his job over Tatoo-Gate which had no impact on the outcome of any game.

      Not only that, Michigan continued to beat the spread over and over after Stalions. Against Penn State, Ohio State, Iowa, Alabama and Washington, Michigan beat the spread. If Stalions was any sort of advantage, why was Michigan doing even better than expected WITHOUT him?
      Sorry, we have all the evidence above to show how what Stalions was doing didn't provide any advantage but only conjecture and "feelings" that he some how did.
      The NCAA nearly rescinded the rule two years ago and scouting itself is only considered a Level 2 (aka minor) violation because they know there is no advantage.

    All that matters in this draft is the severe wording of the NCAA stating that the PROGRAM and the university are to receive level one violations. Furthermore, the willful obstruction of the NCAA investigation by the university. UM isn't going to receive the death penalty but the NCAA hasn't used wording like this since SMU but, I'd expect a minimum of the same punishment leveled on Penn State as a result of the Sandusky scandal. Yes, it matters because it shows the NCAA is serious, but also the context behind compliance makes the NCAA look bad. The NCAA is purposely giving these ludicrous demands because they know they won't be met and they can say, "See! See! They're non compliant". It's meant to be an entirely rigged outcome.
