I turned this backing track on as I was taking my guitar out of the case. I paused and then just listened to the track. Very calming. The Rhodes is perfect.
This is so inspirational . I improvised using an acoustic guitar . Found it very intuitive to play along with and was surprised with the musical and lyrical ideas this generated. I’m speechless. Why is it so good. ?
I tried to play it on piano ..it didn’t work as well. I felt like the em9 was the beginning chord .. can’t work out why the c maj7 feels like the first bar on your production .. I feel a song coming on …. Amazing
love this track too. I think it works so well because of the B7alt chord. Also worth noticing the chord progression is quite interesting since the key is Em, so the resolution is delayed quite a bit. Very nice track. Found myself jamming on the guitar for a long time.
This track is great to work and to Jam !!! Slow rythm allow to change the scale according to each chords, short example: - CMaj7 ==> E Blues Scale - BAlt7 ==> B SuperLocrian everyday - Em9 ==> Go for E Aeolian, why not A Dorian - A13 ==> Go for E Dorian Put in evidence tension and resolution notes: - CMaj7 ==> E - BAlt7 ==> Eb - Em9 ==> Whatever - A13 ==> C# Thanks for the track !!
A backing track so good I can noodle pretty much completely random notes in the scale and it still sounds AMAZING Edit: like seriously, jamming to this makes me feel like I know what I'm doing even though I have only played guitar for 1.5 years.
sheesh that 8 mins went quick. i kept spacing tho and hitting the c against the c# on the a chord and vce versa lol but eventually started really getting into it and it started flowing.
this B7 altered sound, using the C melodic minor scale is implying some really cool SUPER LOCRIAN tones, followed by a dominant A13 chord for some equally as badass A dorian lines at the end. Overall a sick track that I am glad I clicked on. 10/10 would jam again.
Can someone ecplain why the D# in the B7alt chord and the C# on the A13 sound okay? P.S. This sounds like "What You Won’t Do for Love" by Bobby Caldwell
It wouldn’t sound good if they were just played back to back, but it’s the fact that the music progresses from chord to chord which makes it okay. Does that make sense? Like, if you were improvising over this track when they were playing the A13 chord, playing the d# wouldn’t be the best idea, because it’s dissonant. It’s just a half step down from one of the main notes in the chord. You COULD play the d# but it just doesn’t fit in the next two chords, so it wouldn’t make a lot of sense. It would cause weird tension in the music.
Hello there, you have to buy the album that includes the backing track you want to use and give credit by tagging this channel. But it's only for posting on social media like for example if you want to solo over it and share on UA-cam, Instagram, TikTok... It's not for Spotify because of copywrite. Please check the video description 🙏
Can somebody explain what this is in a beginner friendly way.. the dots are all the notes that you can play because they belong to the scale right so it will sound right? But what are the numbers and letters on the dots? and in this video there are different scales because it modulates throughout right? Like we go from one key to another ? Thanks guys
Hey, the dots are all the notes available that work over this backing track, the numbers and letters are the names of the degrees of the scale. But if you don't know theory you can ignore that and just experiment with those notes and play what sounds good to you.
You play the altered scale over the altered chord, that b5 is a chord tone so it works pretty well. Maybe you just need to get used to that sound. Hope it helps 🙏

Thank you for your suggestion!
This sounds very much like Something About Us by Daft Punk. I love it.
Thanks! Yes it is a common Jazz and Soul chord progression.
Oh, lovely.

Same chord progression as Something about us by daft punk :)
Nice catch! Yes it is, the only difference is that the 2nd chord is minor most of the time, instead of a dominant chord ;)

Those notes are in those chords. D# is the 3rd in B7, C# is the 3rd in A.
Hello if I want to make a song and take to spotify I just have to buy the track 1 dollars?

May be this will get answered one day but I really want to know what model of guitar is in the thumbnail. If you could let me know thanks!
It's an Ibanez AS73GBKF

What are the chord notes for B7 alt ?
An altered 7th chord needs an altered fifth and/or ninth.
In this case I'm playing a B7b13, the b13 is the same as a #5.
So the notes are B D# G A.
❤
Daft punk - Something about us
do you have the chords anywhere?
See those massive chord letters right below the 70bpm, might be there
@@faze_garbage6673 its on the damn screen bro? you stupid or somethin?
How do you guys get the b5 of the alt scale to work?
You play the altered scale over the altered chord, that b5 is a chord tone so it works pretty well. Maybe you just need to get used to that sound. Hope it helps 🙏
@@pocketjamtracks yeah ur right. Trapped in the Aeolian loophole
What's a B7alt ?
It's basically B7 with a altered 5th and/or 9th, in this case it's a B7#5 or B7b13.
Dude i can just play the chromatic scale over this
It's always possible to play all 12 notes in a solo, just use those that are out of the key as passing tones for good notes.
