I love Charlie, he’s funny, he matches your humor well & his voice is awesome! I love Melissa’s mom, Marlene, she’s always so sweet. So glad they were able to help you out.
🇺🇸Have been a CI watcher for years, but I think it’s my first time seeing Melissa’s mom and stepfather. Loved ‘em both and, as a Texan, I particularly enjoyed listening to your FIL. Whatever his career might actually be (or have been), he would’ve made an absolute 💰killing💰 doing voice-over work: Pirate, Roughneck, Cowboy, Lobsterman, “Old West” Sheriff -or outlaw! …there are just sooo many characters I’d have hired him to voice!
One of the first of your videos I saw was when you were heading to Mary's house for the first time, and there was glitter on the hotel bed. It follows you everywhere, lol.
Was lovely to see Melissa’s mother in this video. I can’t recall the last time we saw her. Such a great family❤ As a mom, I would also enjoy that kind of day scrummaging thru boxes. Thank you 😊
That mirror is gr8. At our age(over 50), we can not see an eyelash in our eye without out our glasses on. This mirror from Costco is 10x magnification and is just what we need. Marlene will use that.
I’ve become more minimalish as I’ve gotten older and I enjoy when you go through storage spaces and garages because it makes me think of junk I might have and to get rid of it. I think my storage room in the basement is okay but this is a reminder to go down there and toss or donate stuff I thought I might need but haven’t.
After clearing out family houses over the years I am careful not to keep too much unless its sentimental or useful. During lockdown we had a good sort out and when we could donate it all went to charity, church fairs etc. Our local charities had so much stuff donated so everybody must have done the same.
It makes you wonder what the person was into going through that stuff!! It’s definitely a campers treasure trove! But it’s a worry that you keep finding bullets but no gun….. You’re very lucky Alex to have such an awesome family.
You have a very kind mother in law and Charlie. It was a mishmash of stuff that’s for sure. Not much for an auction, but a lot of stuff that you’ll need to store for “if you ever need a cot, or camp stove, or tent”. But the helmet is a really great piece of history of a bad time in the world.
You really do have an amazing Family & it’s easy to see where Melissa gets her looks from. She’s the spitting image of her Mom. 😊 Some really odd things in this one, but that’s what happens w/Storage Lockers. Great that all three of you found things to use, give away & hopefully sell. As you said, that WWII Helmet pays for the entire thing in the end, so not too bad at all. Thanks for bringing us along. I think it’s the first time I’ve seen your In Laws on a Video, so nice to meet them. Take Care Guys!! 😊
I like watching you tubers who share their wealth with others. Your a kind hearted man and you are teaching your family to be the same. All while achieving your dreams. Love your videos.
That yellow flashlight at 13:22. I still have mine. It was just about the brightest one available in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I used it exploring abandoned gold mines in New Mexico way back when. Doesn’t hold a “candle” to what is available today.
Oh wow!! Gold Canyon was a candle company out of Arizona. I was a distributor with them. They made bad financial decisions and they closed their doors. Great smelling candles. What you found was probably their scented oils.
Sometimes the best "picks" aren't "picks" at all... they're family! You're a very lucky young man, Alex! Thanks to Charlie & Marlana for being such awesome people to have as in-laws! 💯 I love your channel!
Dear Mr. Archbold. 👍👌👏 Lucky again. Congrats! I hope that we will see a part two (about the leaf blower revival, the motor tiller, the camping stuff etc.). 2) Mr. Charlie looks like as if he could be Hans long lost brother. 😁 ;-) Best regards luck and health to all of you.
My tiller from the 90s has no safety stuff and I prefer it that way. If it did, I wouldn't figure out how to use it. Loved you working with family. Reminded me of working with my dad on stuff.
Nice video. Thank you for sharing with us. Marlene is a Sweetie for sure. Nice to meet Charlie. I also am amazed at the stuff folks find in storage units. Take care.
That was a fun short short adventure! Your positive outlook on everything makes life a joy and I can count on these to pick me up after a bad day. Really appreciate that! Your family added a great bonus on this one too! Glad this one came up on my feed tonight, just what the doctor ordered PS hope the leaf blower works!
Well, it's quite clear where Melissa got her genes from. Lovely people! I could so listen to Charlie to explain all you found and more, hope he's good. Soooo, the last thing, why were we not introduced to the doggie? Poodle maybe? Yoshi? Or did I hear wrong?
It always baffles me just how much junk people put in these storage units, and pay good money every month, sometimes for decades, instead of just scrapping it in the first place.
Hi! Here's my take on your question ❓ People move out of a place & put EVERYTHING they own in the unit. Then, later they get a smaller place or move in with someone & they don't need or can't take all of their "stuff". They take what they need & pay on the unit & go to it every once in a while & grab something out of it. Then, it gets to the point of having nothing but a bunch of crappola in there. They stop paying for it & Alex buys it! 😲 Wow... that was a long take on it! Be safe, happy & healthy! 👍
@Story Time with Gummy! Oh my goodness I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't know if you've heard of the book, "How to Mourn the Loss of a Love(d) One" I think it's just loss of a love but? Great book & super easy & comforting read regardless of what type of love you lost or how long ago you lost them. My Mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer & died 5 weeks after her diagnosis. I understand how overwhelming the process of going through someone's life or work items. I wanted to put it all in storage & go through it later but didn't think about it. I quickly sorted what I could & threw a lot away & then donated the rest. I didn't even have the heart to do a yard sale! Bless you all & stay well!
I've seen and done things like this before. Sometimes someone runs into financial trouble, sometimes there's medical problems, or sudden death, poor decisions, etc. and you have to like a day to help them move out in a hurry. Drawers just get dumped in boxes/bags etc.
I liked those wood curio type things & the ball canning jars, I’d definitely craft something pretty out of those! I’ve been refurbishing old jewelry boxes lately.
What a fun day with your in-laws! I do like meeting the family and spending time with everyone. She is a lovely lady with a beautiful smile. Finding the helmet was a great find and it should pay for over $300. The age is on the inside and it’s in great condition. Fran
You'll need to be careful of "clutter creep" , finding things that seem useful it'll be tempting to hang on to them and after awhile a barn will be needed to store the overflow .
That's hilarious! When you found the helmet I said to myself, hey Alexander, why don't you find that lucky horseshoe that has to be in you, and then you did! Ha!
Alex my love, boy the storage unit was full. Nice of your in-laws to help sort . The rain looks good. We are in a drought. It always interesting to watch your videos. I love you. Take care my love and stay safe ❤️🌞🇺🇸🎈🍺😇🙏👍🌈🌹🕊
What is a "Hoody" ? ;) Nothing morbid about skulls, we all have one. FYI? the gardening expert on the radio garden line said there is nothing wrong with using a rototiller to break up new ground, it needs to be done first before starting to to the layering minimal till that is currently trending.
That is quite the collection of goods. When you are out picking and you are saying things out loud like, "bed frames", do you ever think "hey, Josh could use that in a sculpture"? Nice to see Marlene and Charlie!
the first picture showed what looked like the Pembina River, and the road from the camping park, I know the way to Drayton Valley....down the south of Entwistle....we used to have a farm , north of Wildwood, sold and moved to Styal --80 acres just south of the railroad, and hwy 16.... moved my mom from Evansburg to Vancouver area BC , close to my sisters place..she stipped by the farm, and said the two story house was run-down looking--the prev owner went into a Home...I could have bought the place ,but a newly built road b blocked the creek and water well was dry. well...thats progress...sad
The shooting chrony is to measure the velocity of bullets, you shoot through it with a gun. New ones are about $150- $200. The one you have is missing a couple of pieces.
Cool video video Brother Alexander. Super Family effort. Thanks for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😀 👍 ❤️ 🇨🇦🇺🇸♥️🎉🎉👏👏🎉🎉💯💯
It seems like there is a new wave of storage unit interest. I think that it is going to wane pretty quickly. Between finding so much junk, the labor involved, finding and paying for the disposal of the junk, and most significantly, the oft sadness that taints abandoned storage units.
The skull belongs to a cervid (deer family) and probably a female moose. The holes just in front of the eyes (for the preorbital gland) are very pronounced in cervids and not found in horses or cows.
I love Charlie, he’s funny, he matches your humor well & his voice is awesome! I love Melissa’s mom, Marlene, she’s always so sweet. So glad they were able to help you out.
That voice knocks me out.
I agree! I want to see more of Charlie!!!
I just love you and Mellisa's family. Her Mom and Charlie are wonderful. I love his Popeye gravely voice, so so wonderful.
That was an odd assortment of things! It was nice to see Melissa’s family again. Thanks for sharing another adventure.
And now we see where Melissa gets her generous, helpful attitude!
She doesn't get the voice from her dad though. My goodness that's a deep masculine voice 😀
@@thany3 I believe Melissa’s father passed away due to coronavirus and Charlie is her mums partner. Could be wrong though!
@@samanthatarzi4081 That’s right. They had been divorced for many years.

From New Zealand here and yes the children in suitcases was so upsetting.
I love Charlie’s giggle! Marlene is so sweet .. beautiful family!
How kind of them to come and work so hard to help, best family ever.
One of the first of your videos I saw was when you were heading to Mary's house for the first time, and there was glitter on the hotel bed. It follows you everywhere, lol.

Such a great family❤
As a mom, I would also enjoy that kind of day scrummaging thru boxes. Thank you 😊
Those collectors spoons are perfect for putting with home preserves, jams.
Fun times. Kudos to your family up there too! Charlie could do voice acting for commercials! Unique tone!
Charlie sounds like a rugged outdoorsman, like Red Green, but deeper lol. So much neat stuff!
Alex, you seem to be blessed in the area that “ everything has value “ …… your awesome ❤ Mother in law is just as sweet as your wife ❤
Charlie's voice is epic ! Another great vid Alexander. :)
I like how when you found the bullet, you just carefully and quietly sat it back down 😆
Another great video and look into secret storage lockers 😁
That is a shooting chronograph. It is used by ammo reloaders to work up handloads. You shoot over it and will calculate bullet speed.
I came here to say something similar. Also used for archery and air guns/paintball/airsoft
That mirror is gr8. At our age(over 50), we can not see an eyelash in our eye without out our glasses on. This mirror from Costco is 10x magnification and is just what we need. Marlene will use that.

It was nice to see Malissa 's folks. Nice everyone helped and everyone benefited!
It makes you wonder what the person was into going through that stuff!! It’s definitely a campers treasure trove! But it’s a worry that you keep finding bullets but no gun….. You’re very lucky Alex to have such an awesome family.
Man, Charlie could make a fortune doing voice over for movies 🙂
We all take a hit sometimes, but I admire your glee over the helmet.

Charlie made my day. I could hang out with that guy all day.
So good to see your MIL & Charlie! A great help!
Love seeing what people store in lockers. Keep buying them, you have a great family.

Hey Alex and fam... thanks for the amazing Vids!!❤
You "complicated your life again". So true at most every thing in life. Enjoy the complications, Alex!
Oh wow!! Gold Canyon was a candle company out of Arizona. I was a distributor with them. They made bad financial decisions and they closed their doors. Great smelling candles. What you found was probably their scented oils.
Awesome! Sounds like everyone had a good haul and a great time.
I love collector spoons i have my collection and my great grandma's i would go nuts for those

You scored points with the family by sharing your treasures
Love Charlie’s voice! He should do voiceover’s!
Charlie deserves a channel all of his own.
The posters are called lenticular! It's one of my favorite words lol.

That was quite a haul for such a small unit. It's exciting when just one item covers the cost of the entire unit. Feels good.

$200 on Ebay
Helping each other is what family's do.........I'm glad that your family is uncomplicated and everyone supports each other.
You'll need to be careful of "clutter creep" , finding things that seem useful it'll be tempting to hang on to them and after awhile a barn will be needed to store the overflow .
Alex hates clutter. He's said he's a compulsive buyer...but also a compulsive seller.
You seem so much more relaxed!
I saw a needle in amongst the spoons and was cringing when you were rummaging through them
You can refresh good leather and make it almost new. (Coach wallet)
You can also send them to coach and they we clean it
That was fun! Lots of random stuff but some goodies too!
I love the storage unit videos!
That's hilarious! When you found the helmet I said to myself, hey Alexander, why don't you find that lucky horseshoe that has to be in you, and then you did! Ha!
It's so interesting to see what people put in storage units and how they have it packed together.
Thanks for taking us along ❤
Well that was fun and his little laugh makes my day !!
You didn’t get what you were looking for but you did get what you needed. 😉
Woo-hoo 500K Close! 🥳🎆
I always wonder if the owner of the storage unit ever sees these?
Looks like Grizzly Adams. Sounds like Red Green. He's awesome!
Alex my love, boy the storage unit was full. Nice of your in-laws to help sort . The rain looks good. We are in a drought. It always interesting to watch your videos. I love you. Take care my love and stay safe ❤️🌞🇺🇸🎈🍺😇🙏👍🌈🌹🕊

a zip up fleece jacket with a hood.
I've seen those red and green diamond sheets before...
Save up the old phones and sell them in a lot. They are used for parts.
That is quite the collection of goods. When you are out picking and you are saying things out loud like, "bed frames", do you ever think "hey, Josh could use that in a sculpture"? Nice to see Marlene and Charlie!
Pretty scenery at the beginning❤️good job getting your investment back! Yeah for family help!. Oh, guess no told you glitter exponentially multiplies🥴
Absolutely loved meeting your in laws! What an interesting adventure! Thank you, Alexander! 😊✌
Marlene and Charlie are a couple?

Great unit and your family really is amazing! You 3 made short work of the sorting and decision process.
The shooting chrony is to measure the velocity of bullets, you shoot through it with a gun. New ones are about $150- $200. The one you have is missing a couple of pieces.
Thank you Alex!
15:00 chronometer.

@JRand me too!!!
Alex I just love the sound of your truck motoring along...
Nice speedmaster
The "portable Wii" is actually a Wii U and there is a console part to it, that's just the controller
What's in the 2nd wallet? You did great on this locker!
the shooting Chrony is a chronograph for measuring the speed of a bullet.
Good son Inlaw 👏 💙 the content 👏
It seems like there is a new wave of storage unit interest. I think that it is going to wane pretty quickly. Between finding so much junk, the labor involved, finding and paying for the disposal of the junk, and most significantly, the oft sadness that taints abandoned storage units.
I love Charlie's gravelly voice. LOL
The crony is a chronograph for measuring speed of projectiles. Arrows, pellets, bullets.
Cool adventure and awesome to the folks
Love ur father-n-laws voice! It reminds me of the old popeye cartoons like popeye or brutus! tfs
