I love me some Janelle James. There’s not been a break out character on an ensemble comedy like Ava since Sue on “Glee”! Every time she’s on screen she steals every scene. Her comedic timing is impeccable. Next season give her ALL the awards! 🤗
Ava is the most entertaining antagonist in a very long time. The casting on this show is amazing. Everyone is perfect.

I love the casting too😍 and you know, I’m not so sure if Ava is an antagonist. I don’t think any of them are antagonist and I think that might be a point they make in the show; they humanize each and every character.

I never thought I'd love a character like Ava because I'm all about peace, kindness and love, but somehow, even though Ava says some things that are totally "out there" for lack of a better expression, she still makes you fall in love with her because of her crazy, fun personality. Quinta did an amazing job with creating Janelle's character and Janelle is the perfect actress to bring Ava to life!

Just saw the first two season. Excellent show with an excellent cast. I can't imagine anybody else playing Ava and Ava is my favorite on the show. BTW, I do love the way they dress her character on the show and Janelle wore the heck out of that Oscar De La Renta red suit!
