Jesus says that “Jerusalem” the city will be trampled on ‘until’ the fullness of the gentiles have come in. So the capital of Israel is indeed important

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart.
Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ?
(Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30)
The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations?
    1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants?
    2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ?
    3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds?
    4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh?
    5. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers?
    6. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"?
    7. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost?
    8. Based on Hebrews 9:15, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.)
    9. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9)
    10. Watch the UA-cam video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church.
Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology.
Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church:

“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107.
Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323.
John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated…
"...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.”
    John F. Walvoord, The Rapture Question.1979, p. 25
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are there two peoples of God in John 10:16? (See also 1 John 2:22-23, 2 John 1:7-11.)
What is the land promise to the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:15-16?
Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Will it be replaced by a new earth?
Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups?
Who is the New Covenant promised to in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and Hebrews 8:6-13?
Will modern Orthodox Jews ever be saved outside of the New Covenant Church?

Dispensationalism is simply a way of categorizing eschatological prophecy. Mike mentions that there is no explicit mention of Israel coming back into the land. Well what is the gathering of dry bones? I'm not here to debate or argue. I'm formally trained in the bible and original languages. Replacement theology presents an either/or situation when in truth, it is a both/and paradigm. The Church is the Bride of Christ and not destined to wrath, the wrath which, in context, is to purge Israel during the "time of Jacob's trouble" or the 70th wk of Daniel. Israel's promises are earthly while the Church's are heavenly. There will be a millennial kingdom, a Theocracy where Christ sits on the throne of David and rules with an iron hand.
Again, not here to debate other than to say that, even as Mike admits, though without clarity, the Church does not replace Israel. It was/is a mystery, yes. Its advent was a mystery as will be its rapture. It is the commingling of Jew/Gentiile but it is not the absorption of Israel. As to these to distinct entities in eternity? Who knows?

God's promise to create a New Covenant with the House of Judah and Israel in Jeremiah 31:31-34 was still a failure, because the houses REJECTED the New Covenant. That was exactly why Israel was punished/exiled, as Jesus said in Luke 20:21-24 that wrath would fall upon 'this people' (Israel). Israel was punished. So, you cannot claim that Israel has received the New Covenant.. because if they had, why the wrath? Why the punishment???
      However, Paul wrote:
1Co 14:22 Thus tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, *while prophecy is a sign not for unbelievers but for believers.*
It means, it takes FAITH to believe in prophecies. A lot of people lacks faith that God can make the house of Israel and the house of Judah ACCEPTS the New Covenant. He WILL do that. The house of Israel and the house of Judah WILL accept the New Covenant, and they will become the subjects of King Jesus Christ, as prophecied by Gabriel:
      Luke 1:
32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the *Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,*
33 and *he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”*
Again, this is also a prophecy, and it takes faith to believe in it. If you have NO faith, then you won't be able to believe this prophecy by Gabriel. Do you think Mary, when she received this prophecy, would think that Jesus would be King over many nations EXCEPT His own???? By no means! Mary would think that Jesus would be King over Israel only.. but now she knows that Jesus would be King over Nations and also over Israel.
The reestablishment of the state of Israel.. return of the house of Israel to their homeland, is the works of God, in fulfilling the above prophecies. Whether or not you can believe it depends on whether or not you have faith, as Jesus said:
Lu 18:8 I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, *when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”*
Too many of the people claiming to follow Him simply lacks faith in His words... and that's a fact. They think they need to help God fulfill His words by creating complex theology etc etc etc.. just like Abraham and Sarah thought they could help God fulfilled His promise by getting another wife for Abraham, and hence Ishmael.. they're all wrong!!!! God does not need your help to fulfill His words.. if you don't believe them.. just wait and watch!!!

Yes really good summary on working the logic of the claim “replacement”. I attended DTS working on a THM during the big controversy over “Progressive Dispensationalism”, which was a needed correction and achieved more justice towards the prophetic fulfillment in the Christ/Church. Modern Israel state is not the people of God or the Israel According to promise(Romans9)

There are two MASSIVE problems with you replacement/CT folks.
1- Your entire case is based on things all already are in full agreement on. The fact that we today are seed of Abraham by faith, that we are all one body in Christ and that there is only ONE way to salvation for Jew and Gentiels and that is through the blood of Christ, the NEW COVENANT is not a disagreement in our positon, its the very things we are in total agreement on. There are not two covenants and two paths to salvation, THERE IS ONLY ONE, THE NEW CONVENT BLOOD OF JESUS.
So when you lay this case out as if you are debunking basic dispensations, you illustrate that you do not even understand what the other side is saying. You did not eve realize we are both saying the same thing on these points.
What you fall to realize is the church age/ Time of the Gentiles is NOT the eternal state. The church age has a defined beginning and a defined END in the Bible. The fulfillment of Gods promises to Israel are NOT a church age event, they are events that take place in the 1000 year reign on earth AFTER the chruhc age, the Resurrection is the Saints and the 2nd coming. Christ and the church age saints are promised HEAVENLY rewards to reign over the nations of the earth for 1000 years and share Christs throne with Him.
2- Your view totally contradicts ALL the OT prophets and even the words of Jesus and Paul in the NT who make clear that at the end of the church age and in the great tribulation there will be a nation of Israel back living in the Holy Land WHO ARE NOT YET UNDER THE NEW COVENANT AND STILL REJECTING JESUS. You try to argue these verse are about the church but scripture plainly states this is a single nation living in the Holy Land who are NOT under the NEW COVENANT and NOT RIGHT WITH GOD.
THIS IS THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM IN YOUR POSITION.
You have massive amounts of scripture that TOTALLY contradiction your position, and to cover that fact up you just proclaim that Jesus fulfilled all these things and therefore you don't have to concern yourself with any of the OT prophesies or what Jesus said in the Gospels on this.

It is necessary that ALL prophecies be fulfilled. which means the Church would become (and nowadays is) blind....
Just read the Westminster or the 1689 Baptist confessions of faith and you find out what the church is not seeing....

The fullness of the Gentiles, similar to Christ saying that he didn’t come to abolish but to fulfill, might partly have something to do with a predetermined number (but not likely) but actually deals with fullness in the sense of calling.
In Jewish Orthodoxy, when someone is said to fulfill the law, it is meant that they not only speak correctly of scripture (in interpretation) but also in deed. Living it out. Calling.
So it is that God made man in his image. Giving man purpose and function.
All that to say, the fullness of the Gentiles is a calling to provoke the unbelieving Jews to jealousy. That’s it period. Not Replacement Theology.
We are not to persecute them (as the church has done) and provoke them to bitterness. Paul had a heart for them. Gentile believers (Gentiles mixed with the scattered sheep from the house of Israel) will not come to that fullness until it realizes its older brother (Judah) has no reason to be envious. God is faithful to ALL his promises. Let us bring down that wall that Replacement Theology has built back up.
    Shalom!

    • @asherjason6270

Shabbat is on the seventh day, Sunday is the first day of the week when the apostles gathered to break bread. The gentiles have not replaced Israel, but instead gentiles are placed into Israel through Jesus Christ. Both Gentile and Jewish believers in Christ are the one Church. For there is neither Jew nor Greek for all are one in Jesus Christ

So which theology is false? Replacement or dispensation??

    • @john8-31
      @john8-31 Місяць тому

Both, thier is no replacement or dispensation, there is only fulfillment, Jesus is King, Jesus is God. Jesus fullfiled the old testament, Jesus fullfilled the law, Jesus fullfilled the abrahamic and mosaic covenants. It is finished! There is no jew and gentile after the cross! Mosaic abrahamic judaism was fullfilled at the cross and ended. What you have as the national, physical, and political israel really since the exile in babylon is babylonian, talmudic, rabbinic, khabbilistism, gnosticism, zionism. After the cross the dividing line for humanity is no longer jew and gentile, but those who follow christ, and those who don't. This is a grace period where christ is gathering "All" of Israel, jew and gentile to him and reclaiming the nations, he is allowing the opportunity for all who will come to him to be saved to do so. But he is coming back and when he does that grace period will end and Justice will be done upon this earth and those who do evil, BOTH JEW AND GENTILE.
