My sincerest congratulations for the completion of your first official BLG product! I've a feeling this will be the first of many to come. I wish you all the success in the world. I'm sure you've poured your hearts and souls into this product, as it is a representation of the BLG philosophy and style. Thank you!
I don't even have Shadowdark (yet), but I bought the hardcover Shucked Oyster anyway. (I did my part!) I like the concept for the book you have presented and it reminds me of a brothel my friend made up for a 1990s 2e game was a freak show and hilariously entertaining inside. It never burned down, however.
I'm in for the hardback edition, this looks excellent. I love running city adventures, they can often be more interesting and more dangerous than the dungeons.
So after the Kickstarter, will we be able to order copies from drive thru rpg??? Even if the price increases a little, it would be cool to have this available to the people...ya know like forever
@@aled857 yes! And Kickstarter is allowing late pledges so there will be a price increase on pledges after the kickstarter you will still be able to get it through there. After the original backers have gotten their rewards, we will put it on drive-thru RPG for sale for everyone else, but backers will have a period of exclusivity
The pricing structure on the pledge levels seems really out of line for POD codes. What's the final price of the book at retail? I would assume around $25-30 for softcover, at most, and $35-40 for hardcover. I would love to support the project, but I don't pay more to help you produce it, then wait for it, only to see the end consumer save $15 or 20 by just waiting for it to release. If you're not shipping printed books, why are you charging at or near full final price for a code that costs the supporter more on the back end? And why is the hardcover POD code more expensive on the front end when it's already going to have higher printing and shipping on the back end? You're not paying that- your supporters are - so why aren't you offering the choice of softcover or hardcover at one rate instead of taking a higher profit? Too greedy for me. I'll wait until it's available on DTRPG for the same price as the pledges without having to also pay additional printing costs. You should be offering a better price for your supporters, not gouging them POD code Kickstarters typically offer pledge rates that save your supporters a couple bucks vs. waiting for final release. You're doing the opposite. You're taking an advance and charging the lender interest. It will probably cost at least $16 to print and ship a hardcover and at least $10 for a softcover. Do you really think you're going to be able to sell the final product for $35 and $50? It seems more likely that the final prices will be about the same as the pledges, minus paying additional printing.

@@SteveKavadas thank you so much!
backed, in the first 50!
I just really love the name 🤣
I would love to back this but you have made it that only those in the USA can back for a physical book, which is madness.
That changed in the last little while. It changed to ship anywhere in the world.
yep was a mistake on our part
Alright, I was #94 :D
I think I'll order this and run it in Mythras instead. :^)
