In the last two seasons starting at safety Bynum in coverage has allowed less 25 yard plus plays than Kyle Hamilton and Minkah Fitzpatrick combined. He isn’t flashy, but he is an above average safety who has only continued to get better.
Flores - stays. His family have grown roots here and he has mentioned that multiple times. He wants a good opportunity. Most of the available ones are a mess on and off the field. Week 1 - I think Darnold probably starts, unless JJ can beat him out. I don't see how JJ is any more likely to succeed behind that line. IOL - a tough one. Draft picks usually take a few years to develop, and it depends who and how many IOL guys will be available and whether they will be upgrades. I think Kwesi will be doing well to get more than 1 upgrade. All the guys are on contract except Risner, and Feeney, so don't be shocked if they're all back, maybe just not all starting. Jones - he has a $3.2m dead cap hit if he leaves, $2.4m of which is deferred if he is extended, so his net cost will basically be vets minimum. At vets minimum who cares if he's RB2 or RB3 or on kick return duty. Akers - is also a FA, who could be back on vets minimum though. Hitman - if they went to the NFCCG, maybe one more roll, but if he's done it locks in a $9.5m dead cap hit (already accounted for) Bynum - I think probably but only about $8m. He can't tackle Gibbs. Murphy - I think probably, he has a dead cap hit of $4.2m, but $2.8m of that will defer if he is extended, so a small discount in 2025.
Really? This happens to other teams and they make changes. This must be the 1st time KOC had to figure something out. Like Ned Flanders parents said "We've tried nothing and were all out of ideas". Did they really think the Rams weren't going to just do what the Lions did? You don't have a QB problem, you have a coach problem.
Just going to throw it out there that I do believe KOC wants to run the ball more but let's look at who he has had as a RB during his time here. 2022: Dalvin Cook who was turning into a feeder RB where he would get 1 or 2 yards then after 15 or 20 carriers maybe break for a big gain. The guy was cooked. 2023: Alexander Mattison: Enough said here, never made it into the endzone rushing 2024: Arron Jones who was indeed an upgrade from Mattison, has huge health concerns and can only handle a specific workload before he is at risk of injury. Then Akers who lacks a burst and gets run down by DB's. Finally Ty Chanler who lets face it is a bust. Throw on top of that a O line that has issues making holes and no wonder KOC is hesitant to run the ball. We need a young bell cow RB.
This team needs to critically think about if they desire to go deep in the playoffs. This means spending some money in the Trenches. Everyone knows our IOL is not right and hasn't been for a very long time. It has costed us some very talented QBs (some of whom became busts). When New England had a spotty line, they added another lineman to compensate so Brady wouldn't be on his butt. Yes, some of these issues are on the QB, but a bad Oline will cause a great QB to be inconsistent, a good QB to be bad, and ruin new QBs. Been Watching this team since I was 8 years old. That's 55 years ago. If the Wilfs want to win now invest in a solid OLine and DLine. The you can get a good QB to be great. You can have RBs that last more than a few years.
I changed my opinion about the draft after the Lions game. They can't compete with Gibbs. He is just too quick for the entire Vikes secondary. I was originally thinking long fast Iowa St CB Darien Porter to cover Jameson and co, now I'm thinking fight fire with fire Iowa RB - Kaleb Johnson. Sam lacked that real RB threat, and JJ will need it even more. Maybe Kwesi can slide back a bit to the early 2nd and grab Kaleb Johnson, then slide back up into the late 2nd early 3rd and get Porter as well. Getting those two would be a perfect draft to me. Get what you can in FA at IOL and IDL - plus they have Taimani, LDR, Jurgens and Flax in house to work with.
QUITE SIMPLE: OFFENSIVE LINE ( interior ) DEFENSIVE LINE ( interior ) , same thing we have needed for the last 30 years!!! APPARENTLY, this organization can not comprehend this!!! They will go out AGAIN, and get MORE running backs and receivers, and will pencil 3rd string players into the line, so we can continue our post seson FAILURE!!! 😆😆😆
Honestly, I do not think the owners of the Vikings, GM, or the Coaches want a chapionship. Knowing how Darnald failed in the Lions game and turning around and letting him suck the life out of the team during the Rams game is just not giving a damn. I can see them allowing him to play in the 1st and possibly 2nd quarters, but the disaster he had already created was inexcusable from someone in their right mind. In fact, they were down 21 points in the second half of the game, and they tried to run the ball. Tell me you want to lose without telling me you want to lose. Start with putting Darnald on the first bus out of town!
Great content guys keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!#14k

Great show guys. Good questions.
New left guard and new center
Rams D went by 75 and he still look like a statue at the line of scrimmage. Retooling the whole thing👍
OL
O LINE O LINE BIG RB SHORT PASSING GAME PLEASE 🙏
I think Harry is retiring, and I’m sad. Loved him since he came out of Notre Dame.
Flores will stay ... if Kwesi doesn't improve the line it doesn't matter how good JJ is the results will be the same..

This team needs to start drafting much, much better. The FA worked well this year. Can't really on that every year.
Will Cam Skattebo be a good running back that would fit this scheme ?
Breakouts - McGlothern, Nahshon Wright, Taimani, Gabe Murphy?
Stay or go, I hope we get better coners, and I’m ready for JJ McCarthy

Gabriel Murphy is my pick for breakout player

Murphy over Bynum....Aaron jones yes if it's not $7million. Maybe $5m? Flores won't get an offer I don't think....so he will be back.
do ya think they should bring in or bring back Tony Parker Romo next season?
Flores isn’t going anywhere until the lawsuit is resolved.

a cover corner a good one
Unless Flo takes Durante with him things to worry on
would take RB scuttal from Az State
Draft rj Harvey, woody marks, Devin Neal, dj Giddens, or Jaydon blue… but if had to be 2 of these 5 I’ll say Jaydon blue, and or rj Harvey 🔥🔥😂💯
I would bring in Justin Fields to compete with McCarthy for the QB job!
we need a new OLINE and Intieor D
Darrisaw comes back resign Robinson, move O'Neill to left guard sign vera tucker to right guard and go after Nick chubb, or draft the RB from Boise
Please draft or pick up free agent o line

JJ McCarthy will be gone as a draft bust!!!
He could become a HOF quarterback, but the odds are he becomes a serviceable player.
Because your a great quarterback evaluator.
He has the look of Tommy Kramer all over him. Good but not great.
How about simple execution of plays on both sides of the ball. Execution in a good way, not "up against the wall'
