Yep, my fault for popularising completely incorrect and inaccurate designs of Honey via fanart back the good ol' days, I regret nothing. I did reset her appearance in my own work though once she was released officially in the PSN and XBL releases XD

I'd consider the sonic mania appearance legit. A cornerstone of the old games was they usually had Mario levels of plot, so saying "well it wasn't *really* the hooligans" doesn't make a huge difference to me. They wanted a boss fight where you take on all three one-at-a-time, and a shape shifting robot was the perfect excuse-plot for it to happen.
Where it talks about Sonic The Fighters in the Sonic The Hedgehog Encyclo-Speed-ia, it talks about Bean The Dynamite and says, “He’s a wild sports-enthusiast woodpecker who can seemingly generate explosives from thin air.”
You should do Rankles the Echidna. He’s meant to be a ‘secret character’ in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and there was a ton of people trying to find him in game.
Fantastic video; especially the portion on HTC. I don't know what it is, but there is something so wonderfully charming about the Sonic community and the way they work together. I know the Sonic community has a lot of negative connotations, spurred on by the louder voices in the community during the mid 2000's but I don't think anyone can deny now that SEGA have shown that fan and IP can have a symbiotic relationship, especially when it comes to fan works etc. Also, I cannot WAIT for when the encyclopedia drops, it will be a storm of both shit and gold. Causing equal amounts, drama, jubilation and befuddlement. Something like, a single line in Tails description hinting that he's bicurious or something, that causes both celebration and arguing in equal measure. That or they confirm Sonic's arms are canonically blue.
Another awesome video detailing lesser known about video game characters. It was cool of you to correct inaccuracies from your past videos and include so many cool pieces of trivia, particularly the awesome manga panels. 4:21 got a good laugh out of me.
Trakker was my introduction to Honey the Cat too, in fact it's probably because of them that I still see Honey's ornamental hairbands as white ear tufts, ahaha... Admittedly I still like to think of his redesign of the character, with sleek modern clothing and no pigtails, as her "modern" look, and her Sonic the Fighters appearance as her "classic" look.
You know while I roll my eyes at the dozens of extraneous Sonic characters, I kind of wish Team Hooligan was more prevalent in the games. What if they were less threatening and more mischievous, maybe give them a comic relief type role? And include Honey.
Since I have the encyclo-speed-ia and was watching this video again, I decided to check and yes, It states that Bean is a woodpecker. It also states Fang as a Jerboa/Wolf hybrid, but more recent media like Superstars has stated him only as a Jerboa. It seems they've nixxed the whole hybrid thing for the canon nowadays, part of me misses the hybrid idea, but part of me also thinks this is a good choice to make things less confusing.
I kinda find it hilarious that Fang is alternatively named Nack the Weasel, when he really isn't a weasel. I remember that i saw a video from Cybershell and it was confirmed that Fang/Nack is some sort of mouse.
I kinda want to believe that the theory of Candy the Cat X Honey the Cat could be that she has a twin sister, and Candy tends to be more of a more spoiled brat than Honey which could imply that prehaps Candy wants to take over Honey's fashion empire for herself or Candy has a more radical vision on fashion than Honey does which Honey kinda clashes with her even if her Fighting Vipers counterpart is a very "risque" woman when it comes to clothing.
4:14 I always knew Bark was supposed to be Terry Bogard! Also, how is it possible that Touma didn't design the Werehog??? His "Fang the Wolf" toys look just like it!! The Dark Chao and SA2 ghosts also look like his work if you've seen enough of his toys... Somebody's copying somebody here 😆 Lastly, Honey... Just Honey... She needs her own game she's the best Sonic character ever!! And that "sexy move" had me cracking up way too hard, why is she SO freakin' cute!!! Thanks for the video, it was awesome! Don't know if this has been said before. But Sonic Fighters was based on the Sonic been put into fighting vipers code. The AM2 team took it to Sonic Team and got green light to make Sonic Fighters. So there is a connection is between Fighting Vipers and Sonic Fighters.

Can you do a video on the prototype Metal Sonics aka Silver Sonic from Sonic 2 8 bit, Silver/Mecha/Robo Sonic from Sonic 2 16 bit, Mecha Sonic from S3AK, and maybe the unknown robot or Silver Sonic Mk2 from Sonic Adventure
I wish i was a game developer and gather around a buch of people and direct a sonic the figthers 2 with more characters, customation, more stages, more moves and mechanics and reach out to sega and be like sonic mania with the hole fan developer thingy. It would have many sega references like virtua figther, figthing vipers, figthers megamix and more, you could cuztomize sonic to look like asura/scourge, pink knuckles, adventures of sonic tails, rainbow espio, sonic. exe or just regular classic sonic with tge soap shoes. Characters could have moves similar to other characters apart from their sonic like moves and original moves from sonic the figthers or other games. The game would have modern graphics and remakes of classic stages but could olso have retro skins like they did for vf4 annyversary and vf5 ultinate showdown I imagine knucles with something like muai thai and having some moves like brad burns and maybe some wrestling moves like wolf and he could jump the wall and glide to move or attack, sonic apart from having his sonic like moves (sonic the fighers/smash) could have somewhat of a jacky brian flair with the fast kicks, bark wouls be defenetly jeffrey and espio kage.
Tbh i see Team Hooligan as Anti-Heros instead of villains it would be great to see them tbh on the games with actual personalities instead of being garbage they should doo it like the IDW comics bc i like there personalities more

I think demolition would have been more appropriate but I guess he takes out his urge to blow things up by fighting. What a coincidence the number leads to an actual real estate agent. At least it doesn’t inadvertently take you to a sex hotline like Roger Rabbit on the NES. 16:19 This is another discovery for me. It feels like that move would fit more with Honey rather than Amy. I like how they used Knuckles to demonstrate the move given that in his Sonic Jam profile his “Weak Point” was girls because he’s a shy guy. I also always wondered what those heart eye expressions were supposed to be for and now I know. 17:09 The color “change” sort of reminds me of how fanart of the Junio/CD design of Sonic tends to have him with a lighter blue color as that is how he appears in the animations for the game but as it turns out it just seemed to be something that went wrong when converting them into video as the actual animation cels show Sonic with the more standard dark blue color. 17:33 That is an interesting interpretation for Honey’s clone colors. I like the color palette she has as “Candy”. I will look forward to seeing more Sonic videos from you.
If I remember there some cut content from the Fighters like Ray potentially being playable though Ray the flying squirrel wasn't that interesting. At least not as interesting as Team Hooligan, Honey and Tiara imo
