There's nothing like the feeling of discovering music that came from a pure artist such as John. You instantly feel blessed. His music is the soundtrack of my life. Seriously, each Frusciante album takes me back to a specific period of my "timeline", and thus brings back all those feelings. Some of his music makes me remember how sad I was, as well as another part of it makes me remember how happy I was. But hey, that's what life is all about, isn't it?

John Frusciante has always been one of my favourite artists from a young age. Like many others, he taught me how to play the guitar in a very expressive way and taught me how simple and how complex music can be.

This is one of the most hypnotic, atmospheric songs, that I’ve ever heard. Frusciante could take the genre by storm if he decided to start putting out albums, consistently. His prowess/brilliance exists with his placement and, as he always says, “the imagination.”

You know I love John... I love everything he has done in RHCP and I've listened to a lot of his solo work like Shadows Collide with People and the Empyrean and I absolutely love it. For a while, I couldn't get into his new stuff, but I think this album was my gateway drug into this weird, sonically insane world that John seems to create with his music. Love you man, I always will. I will always look forward to what you put out and there's millions of people just like me who agree

the first song is in that movie "The man with the iron fists." my first time watching it and heard it I was like "hold up, was that Frusciante?" and I rewound it and sure enough it was this song. such a great song

I'm surprised as to how really good this record sounds.
At some point I thought he gave up and just started to press buttons randomly in the studio and he was like "whoa dude, that's exactly how I feel, listen to this guys". He is an amazing artist, but I think not many people are ready to truly enjoy his songs more than 'He used to be big, he surely has a meaning", including I. Fragile soul, hat off
I adored his previous stuff, but this new material really grew on me, it´s really the same level of fine Frusciante quality just in this other genre now, I think he didn´t loose anything, quite the opposite! These productions are top level :)

Again johns electronic tracks are completely original, the level of programming he’s doing is insane. Especially the fleet of synthesis and drum machine programming
Loving his new songs as much or even more than all the previous solo work and rhcp... John found what he was looking for and we’re blessed to hear some of, it obvioulsly has meaning as the lyrics are very clear inspite of the chaotic music

This upload seems to be a slightly lower pitch / speed from the vinyl rip. Do you know which one is the correct one? I assume the digital

+yoyoyoson This one is the real one, the "Vinyl Rip" is actually sped up from the actual vinyl, since I was just listening to it earlier. I don't get why someone would rip make a vinyl unless it's not already available in a digital format. You're not getting a better audio quality due to the fact that digital is always going to be more compressed than a CD or Vinyl.
TL;DR: Stay away from the "Vinyl Rip" upload if you want an authentic "vinyl" listening experience since this is the actual speed of which the album is to be played.

it's an electronic music from a man who didn't grow up listening to this genre... I love Frusciante as a guitar player but this is a poor imitation of Aphex Twin... he should keep on making other types of music imo... you should check out Aphex Twin or Venetian Snares... I think it's after meeting VSnares when he decided to start making this type of music

I REALLY hope one of these days he gets the itch to make josh play keyboards in RHCP and gets back to his guitar slot there, cause he was MADE to be in that band...

This geat EP is him being inspired and copying Richard David James aka Aphex Twin. I'm not saying this isn't good, this is great! Just trying to give some context. Maybe "copying" was the wrong word, but the sounds and melodies sound just like what Aphex Twin did in the late eighties and through the nineties with his myriad releases and pseudonyms. There's nothing wrong being inspired by the godfather of modern electronic music though.
