I was happy with my McCulloch. Somebody stole it from out my garden. Bought a Stihl after that just to see what the fuss was about. Stihl is obviously very good. I was blown away actually, fast startup and like cutting through butter. But i would by another McCulloch to do smaller work. Never had a problem with it in 3 years, and i used it every week from september to march in those 3 years.
I am sorry to hear that. I’ve sold my CS340 and bought a MS180. It is a great little saw. It is also 1kg lighter than the McCulloch and that was the reason why I bought it.
You're right sir. I forgot to engage the brake. It is a decent saw for occasional use. Husky and Stihl are better build, parts are much more available and the engine is more torquier. Furthermore, the Stihl is 1kg lighter than the Culloch. I would go with the Husky or Stihl, although they are more expensive (at least here in Europe).
@@Agrifan_ You cannot even buy a new McCulloch saw in the US, at least not since 2016. They axed them for the Poulan pro, which seems to be identical to the McCulloch, right down to the black on yellow case. The Poulan pro is one step below the Husqvarna , and above the standard Poulan, which is a totally different saw.
I see...Compared to a Husky or a Stihl MS170/180 which I own atm it is inferior. The build quality on a Stihl or Husky is impeccable: Also you need to factor spare spart and availability of them. Furthemore it is 1.1kg heavier than both saws. This was the reason I sold it.
@@Largo5441 I have the 66, they are good saws but you cant beat the agility of a small saw 🤗 The McCulloch is similar to the husky 135 and Stihl 170. I had no issues as it is build quite well.
McCulloch blowers and chainsaws ought to be made in the US. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. The chainsaw is solid but you can hardly compare it to Husky or Stihl. It is heavier, materials are not as robust and the fuel consumption is greater.

Hi, did sample 444 exist or is it a fake?
I don’t recommend pulling the chain, while it’s running and the chain brake isn’t on. How does it compare to a Husky, or Stijl?

@@triangleofdeath6246 I agree. I've hear the same for the Poulan blowers which should be the same, but Poulan seems to make a lesser product...
You guys realize husky makes mcculloch and poulan right?

I bought a brand new McCulloch 42s and the ignition unit malfunctined after some 5 tanks. Not impressed at all.

I've got a CS360, brand new and it would give you problem.
Made in Sweeden it's true?
Yes sir! They are put together quite well.

Where it,s made US , China ?
Some of them are assembled in Sweden, some in the US. Since it is a Husky sub brand they share a lot of parts.
