Ah, the world needs a model-based control system in Ardupilot so that all the forces are modelled, merged and coordinated simultaneously. That's a half-written DIYD blog post I should finish...

it is in 3.8. The use of windows is for the FightAxis simulator. ArduPilot itself runs on my Linux laptop
