- I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE GOLD IN THIS CREEK. Ladies and gents, welcome to another episode of West Coast Gold Prospecting. Today we are mining in a tiny creek in Southern Oregon via sluice box and hand pumps. It’s the day after Christmas and I had an urge to find some gold.

Dam nice gold huge flake too. Don’t you love the smaller sluice boxes? They sure come in handy sometimes . I need me a pair of hip waders too!
That little sluice worked great. On to the bigger sluices now. The water came up. And yes the waders are awesome.

That's an awsome spot. Nice chunky. gold. Looks like you guys are having the same weather as us.. but . It actually started snowing a few hours ago and we got about 4 inches on the ground now. But it's late. Usually it's super cold by this time and just covered in snow . Winter was late

Pickers are what won't go up the sniffer bottle. Want more pickers, use a sniffer with a smaller tube ;)
I am using a smaller sniffer on this little creek than I do in the summer for sniping ;)

so im 2 years in on being a gold aholic and i have heard when u dig into water like i see u always do that the gold falls off. now im in creeks that are running hard not like that bath i seen u guys in so maybe thats the difference? im in Washington state and i just would like to know ur opinion
@@dsmoothman1981 it depends on the water flow. You can still get gold while digging in water. If the material is being pushed off of your shovel than grab a crevice pump and fill buckets that way. Works great.
