I opened a Muldrotha from a Foundations booster and came here to see what I could do with it. This deck sounds much more fun than the Mothman precon, mostly because that precon just paints a target on your back before you even get the engine started and you never actually get anything done, but it uses several of its cooler pieces to its advantage and, by the time you look scary to the other players, it's already kinda too late to start targeting you. I'll have to procure a lot of cards from these suggestions, but several look like staples I could use in other decks too, so that's great. I can always temporarily proxy the more expensive ones, waiting for such time until I can actually get my hands on the original, as my play group allows for proxies. It's certainly a mana hungry deck, but it has several ways of producing a lot of mana that synergise well with the core strategy as well, which is exciting. The only thing it needs is an answer to Valgavoth Terror Eater, because if that card hits the battlefield under an opponent's control this deck becomes unplayable (and there is a player in my player group who runs a deck with it). Perhaps one way to do it is to Scarab God Valgavoth before the opponent gets to reanimate it, since reanimating it seems to be a common way of putting it on the field, but are there other ways of dealing with it if cast from hand?
Great commander but I agree it’s that’s initial struggle to survive while ramping up to her commander cost and then hoping she doesn’t get targeted removal.
I JUST cracked a shattered foil of Muldrotha, and immediately came looking for a deck tech for a updated 2024 list
