@@curthennig9448 How can you be so sure about that? Tommy has played well in the little bit of practice time that he's had with the first team offense. Don't forget about the lapses in the protection in front of both QBs.
Forget about the draft right now. Live and love these moments and encourage the Giants to keep playing hard through the end of this season. People forget that the Giants are deep in a rebuild and there are still holes on this team that need to be addressed. Oline, dline and edge should be drafted before any QB from the draft. Tommy might play well enough to force the Giants to not draft a QB in 2024. What we don't want to see is Tommy and DJ continuing to get beat up behind the offense line that still needs two good guards and a good right tackle. The jury is still out on Evan Neal.

Giants fans enjoy this moment. Don’t look ahead right now. Next year Devito won’t be able to catch ANYONE off guard. They’ll have tape and experience playing against him. But enjoy this, Giants fans deserve it. I hope he is the future. Love from a Cowboys fan.

@@noneya1781We almost never get that yard with this line. We get stuffed often in short yardage and are way too predictable in those situations given our line gets no push.
Illinois fans had the benefit of Devito at qb for one short season last year. His moxie, stones, whatever you call it - was on full display. We all felt confident good things were possible with him under center.
Understated is the fact that he does not loose games for the team. He was referred to as a good “game manager” for the Illini. Don’t fumble, limit interceptions.

Why did he leave Syracuse?
His playing time was going to be restricted - the coach moved on to another qb. I'm sure Tommy just wanted to go to a place where he could start. Worked out great for him and Illini. Interesting story - due to covid year, he actually appealed to the NCAA for another year of eligibility. They denied his appeal. Had that been granted, he was set to return to the Illini this year. If that occurred, he obviously wouldn't be leading the Giants as he now is. Funny how things work out. @@EHou01
My dad was a season ticket holder for about 35 years. He passed away in March. He would have enjoyed this run.

Great story.. fun to watch (I'm a Rams fan living in the Philippines) but the fun stops soon.. 2 games against Philly coming up. But I'd LOVE it if DeVito keeps winning. He left Syracuse because they had a 3rd rate offensive line that couldn't protect him. Last year was decent for the Fightling Ilini.. but they didn't have a great BIG10 team.. so this is really really fun to watch as an NFL fan.

Not saying we're making the Super Bowl this year at all in the slightest, but people have doubted the Giants during their last two big runs and look what happened. Nobody thought we would make the playoffs last year, let alone win a playoff game, and look what happened. With the Giants, stranger things have happened and anything is possible.
Syracuse prepared him well for how to handle a terrible Giants offensive line.

Phil Simms was a third string QB when the 2 “Ballerinas” Scott Bruner and Jeff Rutledge got hurt, and he came in and shocked the NFL. The rest is history. Another guy you may of heard of was a backup. Tom Brady. Un heard of. Legendary QB Drew Bledsoe goes down, here comes a nobody. Turns out to be the GOAT. we can only hope as Giants fans! 🤷🏼♂️
You ever watch Brady at Michigan? He was great there too but Drew Henson was such a talent he got the job,then got hurt. There was also rampant rumors that Bledsoe hated Belichik and was running him out of town, but got hurt, and Brady saved Bill,, and the rest is history.

I listen every day from 630 to 730. I heard about some guy Fegelman and his dad enjoying the free stuff at an Islander game, then I heard about Boomer wanting to talk about the Bengals. Some traffic and the standard worthless Gio drivel. This segment must have happened after, but ugh, the show is kicking tires.

He has locked in an NFL backup contract from the Giants or elsewhere. That's already certain. Winning 3 in a row in the NFL with that group is incredible and I don't care who the competition is.
