I didnt care much for his factory paint. I've seen some excellent repaints on IG though. 🤤 Another thing I've been wondering what's up with the flocking and long hair on top? I feel like all the guys been gettin the same hairstyle. I would've liked to see locs all over. Mattel needs to come through with more chocolate guys fr. I hope to get him soon.

I'm sorry guys, JON is still darker than the fashionistas Ken you're referring to. I have him too. 😬😫 but... sometimes, depending on lighting, skintone differences are harder to see on photos.
You can lighten the body with pastels or darken his face.
hmmmmm... i love the way you said this like it's that simple. i happen to be a total klutz and can't imagine attempting the task of using pastels to lighten or darken a doll without making a huge sloppy mess. but i do love the idea... i don't even know where to start though.

I just used the green haired BMR ken doll body for my black dread mold, s-curl mold, and A&M ken doll heads.. it’s a pinch lighter but just take off the nail polish and put in something long sleeve and you won’t notice .

I was hoping Jon was gonna match Fashionista #162 too. But he’s not even close. I really want to put him in outfits that show some skin, so Jon’s body is out. He doesn’t even really fit any of the Fresh Squad bodies either. So I’ll either have to dye a body, or wait for Mattel.

i don't own that ken, but I do have the one with the dark skin and cornrows, black and gray jersey. I believe he is the same shade of brown as the ken you're asking about. And this MODEL barbie looks dude definitely is a match, so I'm assuming your ken should match too.

I just dont understand that we pay more than normal price for "limited edition" barbies or special series and look their face paints... So careless... I have Barbie Looks and BMR ones, i rly would like to have same face as sketch which was over box (about bmr Ken) Plus another issue is their joints! Both of my dolls's hands have become almost floppy from FIRST use! Unbelievable! I expected better quality but no. This is so sad....
Quality control seems to be a low priority at Mattel in recent years. 🤨 i guess customers wanting good quality is unexpected, in the eyes of Mattel!
