    The most important thing is that he is raised in a safe environment by a parent who truly wanted him and loves him. It really doesn't matter if he has one parent as long as he's loved. Plenty of two parenting toxic households in the world with children being raised in terrible circumstances.

    Every episode, I'm always teary-eyed. I'm not sad, I just really respect and admire how strong Sayuri is. 😭 She is an amazing woman and mom to Zen. I hope Zen grows up as a really good, loving, and strong child. I'm excited to see him grow up. 😊 Please stay healthy! You are both loved and appreciated. 💛

    Jen is so cute 🥺 idk why there’s such a silly stigma around single parents, if you’re a good parent you’re a good parent, doesn’t matter how many numbers there is in the equation.

      The stigma around single women being a parent in Korea has to be from the fact of how they see marriage and having kids. “To see a single mom means that she had a child without getting married(that she played around and had an unplanned pregnancy) or that she was selfish and decided to divorce her husband.” Both of these are just stupid in my opinion, I am not Korean but the elder generation in my country(in South America) tend to think the same and so the people in my church(people of all ages). It sadness me that even to this day we are forced to live a life according to the standards of others taking or suppressing our own growth and happiness.

      @@Wolfe_81 Sayuri choose to be a single parent through sperm bank. She's already 40 and didn't found suitable man to be her husband and her biological clock already ticking so she choose to do this in Japan since it's illegal in Korea. Unfortunately a lot of people critize her for joining Superman Return since they didn't approve of her choice to be a single parent. In their mind parent should be father, mother and child.

    I had such respect for Sayuri since she decided to get a baby herself.
    In many Asian countries that is still seen as something horrible, being a single parent comes with a bad stigma already there, but actually getting one yourself without a partner is even worse.
    So, Sayuri gogo :)
    Although I still root for Sayuri and Sang-min :)

      True! I live in an Asian country and let me tell you, the amount of times I have argued with people about this issue is mind blowing! People will degrade women not having children or women raising children alone (and it mostly coming from men). Yikes. That's why I have so much respect for her!

    • @evehuaien

    • @enjie3061
      @enjie3061 3 роки тому

      No, no. It's not being a single mother as in being a widow that people talk about, it's about you biologically have a kid with a total stranger.

    • @evehuaien
      @evehuaien 3 роки тому +5

      @@enjie3061 i know. I understand Korean. I mean i applauded her for making this decision (being a single mother) instead of getting married to conceive because a problematic marriage can have negative impact on kids. Only thing she is a celebrity, people will dwell on her conceiving with a stranger's sperm. If not, she is just like any single parent.

    • @nivity
      @nivity 3 роки тому +7

      @@enjie3061 Well, maybe it depends from country to country in Asia. In South Korea for example being a Single parent is seen as something bad. Even when a divorce happens, not when its about a total stranger. Plenty of information about that, and videos done about this stigma as well.
      Even when for example a husband was abusive and the wife left with the child it's seen as not giving enough effort etc.
      In Sweden for example raising a child alone is totally normal. Even if its single parenting after divorce, adoption etc.

    The conscious effort in deciding to conceive Jen despite the social stigma and to raise Jen amidst the possible difficulties she's gonna face as a single mom is really admirable. I am just happy that the world is a little bit more accepting and understanding of what we perceive now as unconventional families. A lot of people were right that it does not really matter whether a child is raised singly, or by a mom and dad, or 2 moms, or 2 dads or even co-parented, what matters is that they are given the love and care every child deserves.

    Nothing wrong with being a single mom. There are many single mothers out there as well so I don’t see why there was such a big issue. I’d do the same if I was financially stable. More power to her.

    • @김태연-i3y5s
      @김태연-i3y5s 3 роки тому

      The issue was she got a sperm donor. I read somewhere that the only people who do it in Korea are married couples who can’t get pregnant. Since she’s single they see it as a unnatural way or something they just don’t like it hahahha

    • @MizNouP
      @MizNouP 3 роки тому +23

      @@김태연-i3y5s well, they better get used to it then. The world’s changing and they can’t do anything about it. I don’t see how they would care so much about what OTHER people chose to do when it does not pertain to them at all. They can just mind their own business and we’d be in a better place. Besides this is way better then girls getting knocked up by some guy who then leaves her as a single parent.

    I give her props 👏. She is one strong mama. My one and only little one for now is already handful (but it's definitely rewarding).
    I just don't understand the petition against her just because she's a single parent. She just want people to see how hard and rewarding it is to raise a child alone. I enjoy watching her.

    I don’t care what other people says I’m so proud of her ,people don’t have there own business that’s why they care about other's business. For me she is a role model,a superwomen who have a capability of doing things own her own.

    This makes me so angry! She’s not promoting single parents or any shit like that! She’s just showing what it looks like when you’re a single parent raising a child by yourself.
    So is it ok if I dad or a mom abandon their kids but what she did is wrong? What the hell!
    I grow up not having my dad around, so it was quite difficult but it wasn’t my mom’s choice or anything! It happened. That’s it! In life you make choices that you consider right! This is her life and that’s her choice to have a child by herself! I really admire her for this! And I’m sure that his son is going to be a great man in the future. So keep going dear that you’re doing a great job ❤️❤️❤️

    The best type of family is one where the parent(s) is/are willing to devote the love, time and effort to raise a child. However that family may look, whether it be a mom, dad and child, or just a mother and child or father and child or two moms or 2 dads or even grandparents and child is not important.
    There are plenty of children who live in the stereotypical family unit but without any care or guidance. A parent is someone who accepts the responsibility of having the happiness, health and well-being of a child in their hands and is willing to do the work to give the child the opportunities to help them grow into the best versions of themselves.
    Sayuri -san (I use the honorific out of respect) looks to be a truly wonderful mother and Jen is going to grow up in a very loving home. I wish them both the very best.

    Sayuri is a very optimistic and resilient mother. I think what people should understand is that we are now in the new era where people should need to be open in everything. It's Sayuri's decision to have a baby and what we can do is to respect her period!!!!
