i don't fully stan day6 but i love their entire discography, they are indeed the best kpop band.

Day6 debuted in 2015 with ‘congratulations’ you should react to that. Back then they were 6 members, but Juhnyeok left the group before their comeback. Day6 have 4 of the best vocalists in kpop in my opinion. Plus they sound exactly like the studio versions when they sing live, if not better. When I think I like one of them more, someone else comes in with their vocals and blows me away. And it’s always so unexpected. I hope you’re able to check out more from day6 in your own time if not on here.

I'm so glad you listened to them. I see that you've been informed about Wonil already. His voice had me absolutely echanted when I first heard them. Also Day6 further prove that being a crackhead is a requirement you need to meet to be accepted into JYPE. If you ever decide to look into them more, you'll probably like their personalities as well.

I don't even know what to recommend because all of their songs from top to bottom is so good, even the bsides. i also recommend that u read the lyrics too after cuz the song will hit you harder. all songs were written/composed by the members themselves as well as the lyrics (most of them...almost all of them were YoungK's lyrics which have been highly praised by industry experts). i guess u should check out Zombie, Days Gone By, Hi Hello and I Wait... i think u'll love them.

love this reaction, day6 is incredible!! to me they are the epitome of a genre, like they incorporate every element you'd want out of a rock song and execute them perfectly. their live vocals are flawless and SO smooth, jyp seriously lucked out with so many phenomenal vocalists. looking forward to future reactions!!! (side note that youngk is basically chan's older brother, I love their interactions haha)

Yey DAY6!! :D They are amazing and so so talented, i was just listening to the album and...OMG its already in my top albums of the year! The emotions these guys can make us feel is unbelievable! Thank you so much for reacting to them and i cant wait until you know more about them! Its hard to say which mvs you should react to next because all of their songs are so good but i would say "Zombie" it was one of my favorit songs from last year "Congratulations" it was their debut song and its connected to "You were beautiful" same actors and then i think you would love "Days gone by" its 80's vibe all over and its fire! :D

You should check out the School Trilogy by Day6. In order it goes "What Can I Do" , "I Loved You" and "When You Love Someone*. They actually act in the MVs and the story's really good. Also, "You Were Beautiful" is a sequel to their debut song "Congratulations" which has one of the most emotional MVs I've ever seen.
Fun fact: You Were Beautiful and Congratulations have English studio versions!

Oh 7777 views, now I kinda feel bad for watching this... but still ITS DAY6!!!!!!! Their discography is so flawless, I really recommend Congratulations (their debut), i wait, how can I say, zombie and love me or leave me 😌 but also ‘Still’ (not my favorite song of theirs but it’s SO GOOD, it’s a bside from their shoot me album, trust me it’s worth it, I actually cried with that song, without even reading the lyrics, such a melancholic vibe)
Also by the way, they do write their own songs, and their lyrics are 😭, read them after reacting please, i really recommend it

Older idol Kpop MVs were more story driven. Today the MVs tend to be more performance based cuz they’re generally more approachable internationally, which has become a big market for idol groups. Some still happen but they’re not as elaborate for the most part. Like a relatively recent one was from the former group Wanna One who released a story MV for their song “Beautiful”, and I remember a lot of international fans going “what’s happening, I don’t even remember the song cuz the story is confusing” while Korean fans who watched it were tearing up since they understood the language and were able to process the story with the song. So it’s a tricky market.
I bought Day6’s “Sunrise” album like 4 years ago and I still listen to it to this day.
fun fact! most people dont know this but you were beautiful was made in their project called everyday6 which they composed and made 2 songs every month, and then in the end chose one of the 2 for their album sunrise, and the other one in moonrise.

Dowoon: drums, doesn't sing often, but has a pretty deep voice for such a childish vocal tone(songs he sang in: Wanna Go Back, Lean On Me(at least I think), I'll Try(he's the bass harmony for the bridge), 365247, Beautiful Feeling, there's a few more but I can't remember them all loll. Also Best Part. He doesn't sing in it I don't think, but Best Part is my favorite drum performance from him. Best Part and How Can I Say.

maybe u would like zombie, it has also a english version with a lyric ,elody (literally one of the few english versions in kpop which is ACTUALLY GOOD) this song is literally THE song of 2020. 'sweet chaos' which has more of an 90s dark rock vibe to it (the instruments in this are gold). 'time of our live' which is the perfect concert song and literally sounds like an anime opening with modern rock vibes

For congratulations in the Korean MV you’ll notice that there are 6 members but in the English version there are 5 that is because one of the members left the company and the group in 2016 after a dating rumor in JYP there is a 3 year dating ban and this is to allow the idols to get the hang of being new idols and taking everything in and learning the ropes of the kpop industry 3 years after the idols debut is when they are allowed to date but someone started a rumor that the member was in a relationship and it was never confirmed nor denied whether or not he was in a relationship and since then DAY6 has been a 5 membered group
