Awesome ! Now I feel I was right to refuse to jump into the HTML/CSS/JS insanity ... and wait for a real solution to emerge. This + Elm Architecture is going to absolutely rock the boat of front end development
Absolutely phenomenal Matt. This seems like the biggest innovation in web development in a very long time. A little bit of constructive criticism on the talk, try to say 'like' less, it distracts from the conversation. Thanks for doing this!
Indeed. I found myself only hearing the word 'like' at certain points. I know this is a hard thing to avoid sometimes, but this is indeed a pretty extreme case and a great example of how distracting it really can be!
wow, i rely need this guy's brain.. where do i get one? :)) Super awesome stuff. I especially liked that part where he draws a clear separation between an element that has exactly one child - and another element that has 2 or more children. This idea it's so obvious now that i see it - and all it's ramifications - it's such a beautiful, perfect constraint to have. It's just crazy how this simple principle, being violated in Html + Css combo wastes so much dev time, and money and good will. This stuff gets me thinking about Bret Victor talk - On inventing on principle, feel i need to watch that one again. @Matthew Griffith you are the man :)) !!

Your screen is fine, the "dead pixel" is on the video :)
Thanks, I hate it
