2 months later but I’d like to add something. I’m just starting my dark aether grind and getting weapon xp is super slow but here’s my strat: Get every gun up to level 20 (30 will be better) Then go onto zombies, and exfil at round 31, takes around 40 minutes. At this point, regardless if you decide to exfil or not, should have around 1400 kills, you’ll probably have less crit and pap kills. If you started with your gun at level 20, without 2xp your gun should be at level 29 maybe 30. If you started at 30, you’ll be closer to 40. If you go to 31 once, get to level 29ish and repeat, you should have all reg, crit, pap, elite/special and maybe your rapid kills. Again, start at weapon level 20, go to 31 for two games. Once you do this for every weapon, then go back into multiplayer and level your guns the rest of the way, all secondaries should be completely with both 31 games so you’ll only need to level up your primary’s to 50. Once you get 50, with or without 2xp helping you, go back into zombies, you’ll have the final two camo sets unlocked and you’ll definitely get golden viper before round 31. I do this because you’re at a disadvantage when starting with a gun at level 1 (i.e. no attachments) compared to other players. Going into zombies and getting levels thus getting better attachments will help you win gunfights more and it’s also faster. I hope this helps. This strat has gotten me 2-4 golden viper guns in 1 day and I’m nearly have all guns gold. I’ve used this strat for 4 days now without the battlepass 10% extra xp or 2xp. More of a breakdown: -pick ring of fire -Play die machine, firebase takes too long to set up -At end of round 1 go up into penthouse -leave one zombie at round 10 -get power on -pap gun to level 1 and get cryofreeze -upgrade gun rarity to blue -get speed, deadshot, jug and stamin(optional) -go back into penthouse, you’ll get a dog round -round 12, back to zombies and you’ll get a megaton, use ring of fire on penthouse -don’t spend any more points, get pap 2, then buy pap 3 -then upgrade to purple rarity -get quick revive and elemental pop at round 19/20 -upgrade to gold tier for weapon -get 5 semtexs -at end of round 30, switch out cryofreeze for brain rot, get a chopper and two monkey bombs, end round -start of round 31, exfil at radio in spawn then go to exfil, use monkeys, semtexs and ring of fire, probably won’t need chopper but just in case -if the megaton spawns, kill him before using the chopper if you decide to, he’ll run away and you’ll probably fail the exfil -you can also just end the game if you don’t want to exfil too This is the fastest strat I’ve found and I’ve done all of them. I’m blasting through SMGs extremely quickly. Even the KSP has been fairly easy to get gold after I started running the cryo freeze ammo mod. I usually train more than camp but I finally did try colonels office and ended up getting half my criticals in one game of pubs. Your guides have been extremely helpful in getting these camos quickly.

This man is on the right track, a buddy and I have been doing these since the start of season 2. KEY TIP: since RANKING your gun could be a b*tch, take advantage of the 4x XP weapon glitch during x2 weekend by STACKING a another weapon token in Warzone/plunder boost the supply run contracts ez xp. Once satisfied proceed to colonels office. FYI there are god mode glitches and monkey bomb glitches. If you have ever been to round 90+ the zombies are f*cking fast, however the buffs this dude talks about ^^^ dead shot, crying, dead shot, ring of fire etc do decent damage. I’m not sure if he talked about increasing salvage drops (attachments) = faster weapon tiers. Eventually the weapon xp will decrease meaning your weapon won’t rank up as fast (typically 31 or 36 exfil and repeat) lower rounds rank your guns up fastest. If your gun is max, ignore. You can easily get gold camos and plague diamond. The grind comes when you work on the 9/10 weapons classes. GOODLUCK!
I know I'm a little late, but I just recently started really working towards Aether camo. And I feel like this is going to help a lot. All I have so far is diamond on 2 shotties and golden viper on 1 or 2 of my other guns. So, hopefully I'll be able to get to Aether within the next week or two just utilizing this strat. At least until I get to launchers, melee, and snipers lol.

personally, i replace ring of fire with toxic growth, i use it to block the window in the kernals office and i put it at the door so if i begin to get overwhelmed i can just back up behind the toxic growth and spam my weapon. Just a quick tip for anyone looking to shake up their playstyle

I used to struggle on firebase, but not anymore thankyou so much for this(I utilize the toxic growth) just made it to round 43 solo and didnt have to train all that much either.i got one smg gold and was 700 crits from getting a 2nd gold.
If I may. A really recommend playing split-screen, because if you have to lvl up your weapons and you have more zombies spawns than it is going to be faster and for ps4/ps5 players you'll have party boost XP. If you combine that with XP Tokens or a event than you'll have your weapons leveled up in three or four games if you keep playing in that specific game until round 13 and let yourself die you'll have you're weapon lvl 30 or 50 and than all you have to do is again start a split-screen game and let your second player die and respawn let him buy every door so you'll have Tier 3 pAp on litterally round 13 or 17 and you'll have Tier Purple around round 12/14 (RNG) BUT! Remember to only shoot Critical hits. Make sure is @Zackeryeet says to have Tier V Cryo and Deadshot but don't buy Elemental Pop that will ruin your run because when you reload a bunch of zombies will die when they could have been killed by headshots. Believe me as long as you have Armor and Jug you can Tank your reload even with a LMG without Speed Cola and a fast mag but if you don't succeed use ROF or Stim another minus point about Elemental Pop is you dont want the zombies to die to Dead Wire or Brain Rot when playing for headshots. But believe me with this strat you'll have your weapon Gold in almost 2 hours you can get a whole weapon class gold in a single day So remember 3 to 4 games splitscreen for leveling your weapons and then litterally 1 game for getting it Gold
I have to say. Since the beginning I wanted DA but I was to lazy but then I started previous week with this strat. It cost me 5 days and now I got DA. So my point still stands its sooo fast to do but to be honiest its very annoying
Tip=if your playing with friends and you have tombstone when the person with tombstone goes down and in tombstone state if healing aura tier 3 is used the body of the other player is teleported
I just started my aether grind, and after getting dark matter I can already tell this is so much more fun and I am not burning brain cells, if you guys don’t mind not having this camo in warzone, do dark aether it’s a much better experience and it’s quicker

i have one little secret route that allows you to turn on the power without opening one of the doors haven't seen it on youtube yet. so when you come though the portal if you go right door first turn the power on in the room with Dr. Peck then you can go outside to where you get the eye from the zombie and cut though to the medical bay part without having to buy the door next to tomb stone saves you 1000 points in solo and 1250 in 2-4.

I've developed my own strategies. But I couldn't have done it without this video...and all your others! Looking forward to seeing your Vanguard stuff.
Funny thing is, in Metroid Prime 2 Echoes there is a dimension called the Dark Aether too. And the camo's colours are mostly the same as the surroundings from the Dark Aether in Meroid Prime 2 Echoes. Looks cool.
If you have a friend. I try doing the die machine strategy with nova 5 standing on the tank near speed cola. Then have your friend stand there and you can take turns leveling up weapons while one person runs the nova. works great with melee. This strat would definitely work better for headshot id imagine.
I used aether shroud till I get to the Office then I switch mid game to toxic growth to block the window and the door way in the col office. I’ll use the 2nd window as an escape if I need to and I’ve been to level 50 no problem. For the most part we have the same exact game play. 🤘🏼
Great video, I find that putting the thorn bushes where the window is at the is easier for me in the higher rounds. All the zombies will be walking slower with the thorns and cryofreeze. The only con is that the thorns will kill zombies, so that will be less kills for the dark ather camo.
I usually don't get elemental pop purely because most of the mods it triggers don't count as headshots, you had about a difference of 800 between your kills and crits so without using elemental and only using cryo, you could probably get a gun done by round 40.
Max out the special class ability and use a crossbow. Unlock it through the challenge or just buy it in a bundle. So worth it. Using PaP3 + speed cola, it reloads so fast... Plus ring of fire etc.
my fav spot with smgs and pistols is the balcony in the village where u go op to the teleporter. its a bit more hectic but the low range ist really nice for smg/pistols and u can always jump off if u get over ran. but the rest is basicly the same strat
Tip: you can also wallbang the zombie in the hallway I found it out by my self so that you can kill the zombie whet out moving to kill the zombies coming from the window
Here's a good tip to grind weapon XP and dark ather faster that I haven't seen anyone talk about. So if you have 2 controllers sitting around set up a split screen game. Then hoo into a match of firebase. You'll get an xp bonus cause your in a lobby with a other player plus the fact you'll have double the amount of zombies to kill. Just leave player 2 alone and play the game as if it's a solo. I'm able to get a fun from level 0 to 50 in about 4 to 5 round 20 games
I've tried this a few times since your first video, I even have everything tier V, but for some reason I always get overrun by the zombies pretty much instantly, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong
Been farming Z for a while and the only change i recommend to your video is take off elemental pop, it takes away from getting crits and can add up over time.

The best gun to use for this, is the PPSH 41 with 71 round mag drum, when packed it goes 222 in clip, over 1000 in reserve, its the best gun ammo wise
The grind is so damn real just started a few days ago and go almost all cans to level 4 and nog to level 5

I think elemental pop is a disadvantage when sometimes you get zombies that fight for you, therefore you lose a few gun kills by zombies.

Great video, I find that putting the thorn bushes where the window is at the is easier for me in the higher rounds. All the zombies will be walking slower with the thorns and cryofreeze. The only con is that the thorns will kill zombies, so that will be less kills for the dark ather camo.
Some of the best guides I have watched got dark aether a few days ago and loving the skin
I usually don't get elemental pop purely because most of the mods it triggers don't count as headshots, you had about a difference of 800 between your kills and crits so without using elemental and only using cryo, you could probably get a gun done by round 40.

Max out the special class ability and use a crossbow. Unlock it through the challenge or just buy it in a bundle. So worth it. Using PaP3 + speed cola, it reloads so fast... Plus ring of fire etc.

my fav spot with smgs and pistols is the balcony in the village where u go op to the teleporter. its a bit more hectic but the low range ist really nice for smg/pistols and u can always jump off if u get over ran.
but the rest is basicly the same strat
The strategy for snipers is easy with deadshot (on controller) because you can spam aim witch locks onto heads with deadshot

Tip: you can also wallbang the zombie in the hallway I found it out by my self so that you can kill the zombie whet out moving to kill the zombies coming from the window
Thanks for the clarification. I unlocked the wakizashi first, but it actually has the worst in game stats out of all the melee.
Here's a good tip to grind weapon XP and dark ather faster that I haven't seen anyone talk about. So if you have 2 controllers sitting around set up a split screen game. Then hoo into a match of firebase. You'll get an xp bonus cause your in a lobby with a other player plus the fact you'll have double the amount of zombies to kill. Just leave player 2 alone and play the game as if it's a solo. I'm able to get a fun from level 0 to 50 in about 4 to 5 round 20 games
2) Depending on your free time it'll take a day or 2 to finsh a weapon off. As long as you have dead shot you'll be good
I've tried this a few times since your first video, I even have everything tier V, but for some reason I always get overrun by the zombies pretty much instantly, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong

Been farming Z for a while and the only change i recommend to your video is take off elemental pop, it takes away from getting crits and can add up over time.
