Such s thing could never happen in Malaysia. Our historians deny that ancient malays were even hindu-buddhist. They say we were animists then suddenly skipped to Islam at some point even though the Srivijayan and Majapahit Empire existed, and the name of the cultural founder of Malaysian history Parameswara is a hindu name. Malay historians even think Malays popped out of the ground like potatoes instead of migrating from other Islands.

Indonesia definitely has its flaws-corruption and resource mismanagement come to mind-but it’s also a massive, diverse country stretching from London to Tehran, full of incredible cultures and natural beauty. Take this Muarajambi temple, for example. It’s just one of our many historical treasures, and what’s amazing about Indonesians is how proud we are of our heritage.
Unlike a certain neighboring country that tends to gloss over its pre-Islamic history, Indonesians from all backgrounds embrace our past. Whether it’s our ancient temples, traditional art, or historical narratives, we take pride in it all. That’s something worth celebrating! 🇮🇩 🦅

Agreed with the substance, but ppl need to fact check the London to Tehran claim. London to Tehran is 4398km, that means if Tehran is Merauke, London is still only somewhere in Kerinci. Even if you take Glasgow or Edinburgh that will still only get you Bagansiapi-api.
I propose London to Herat, 5241km, if ppl still want to make London as the starting point. Much better than parroting geography illiterate officials.

@ Look, Lae, Topher, I get it. ‘London to Tehran’ might not be perfectly accurate, but it’s just a quick comparison for folks who probably couldn’t even find Indonesia on a map. Not everyone’s blessed with your level of geographical expertise, right? Now, ‘London to Herat’ would be totally pointless, because let’s be honest, most people wouldn’t even know where Herat is. But hey, if you’ve got some other cities in mind, ones that are actually recognizable to the average person, I’m all ears. Let me know!

The Muarajambi temple complex is not only a beautiful site, but also a significant testament to the grandeur of the *Sriwijaya Kingdom* and its advanced civilization. Reading all the comments from fellow Malaysians, it's devastating tbh knowing that your country's historians were never give attention to the pre-Islamic era, where things gets interesting. Not sure what's the reason tho. Hinduism came through from India to Sumatera, cannot be jumping to Java where all the ancient rock temples exists. Same for Buddhism spread from China down to the south, where we have ancient temples all over Java, but not Malaysia. Does it really not there? Or probably some sort of cover up?
We even have prehistoric site like Sangiran in Sragen.

It is not the government but all historians around the globe. They are not ready to reveal what happened in 12000-6000 BC. They are not ready to revise their claim that there were no humans with advanced civilization during that period. But now in Brazil, the secret underneath the amazon has started to force the history to rewrite itself.

It is NOT a Buddhist temple complex. Rather, it is a Hindu Temple Complex... just like the Angkor Wat is a Hindu Temple Complex, ..but it has falsely been labelled as a Buddhist temple complex.
Indonesia was once a 100% Hindu country. You could walk from India to Myanmar to Indonesia, before the water-level rose and some parts got submerged under water.
Borobudur temple is also a Hindu temple. Wherever there is a pyramid-shaped structure, you should know that it is a Vedic Hindu structure. Vedic gods are shown with 4 hands because they represent a concept/force and are actually science allegories. Buddha was just a teacher in India and was also following Hinduism. He is always shown with 2 hands.
    Bali is still Hindu.
