Just picked up my 25 Forester Sport, and finished driving it home (300 miles) very comfortable seats, plenty of interior room, great sound system., and I love the river rock pearl color.
I used to have a 19' forester sport,(now i have a Outback)but my main complain was the noise coming from engine to interior.it is more quieter than before?
I like the Sport trim in that gray color. Subaru should include the heated steering wheel in the all weather package. The Canadian Forester Sport has the heated steering wheel standard.
The Canadian price point equivalent of the U.S. Premium is the Touring, and the Touring has the heated steering wheel. U.S. vs Canadian trim level conversions are as follows: US Base = CAN Convenience US Premium = CAN Touring US Sport = CAN Sport US Limited = CAN Limited US Touring = CAN Premier
Came within a hair of purchasing a black 2025 Sport trim but went with a Limited in the end..very pleased with it in my first week. Still have our 2019 Forester and what a difference with the way the engine and CVT are tuned on the 2025...so much smoother and quieter. Nicely done with the vehicle overview.
@@703Speed I loved the Sport's bronze accents and 19" mags; however, given that I've typically kept my Subarus about 10 years, had a feeling I would've grown tired of the bronze mags over time, or that fad would eventually pass. So I decided to go with a safe pick. Chose the black Limited because the grey accents complemented it perfectly. Not to underestimate the extra safety features and interior extras too.

I drove one of these recently and your review is the best. I also found it the quietest out of all the SUVs I’ve driven but the power going onto the highway was a disappointment and will probably make it not my next vehicle. Thanks for the review.
never understood the comments from people saying subaru did a bad job with the styling comparing to an explorer/rav4 two of the best selling SUVs in America
I would trade all that cosmetic tomfoolery for either a factory-installed 2" hitch mount and/or more substantial roof racks (which are currently so curved as to be useless for loading anything of substance up top).
I love the update. Ill give you a sales tool Im 5 foot 3 my wife is shorter the center counsel control is great verses the pop up out of dash in CRV have to lean forward to operate Honda up out of dash system. Honda is great car that system is hard to operate for shorter people.
It’s not bad, but if they did make it a little bit faster, I know this car would’ve been selling like hot cakes, but hopefully when the hybrid comes out it’s better
I know Fairfax and Loudoun very well. Where the hell is there a windmill around there? Claude Moore? I’ve been there a million times and never noticed the windmill.
Strong expectation is that Subie will start bringing some physical controls back (at least for HVAC and other fundamental controls) beginning with the upcoming redesigned Outback due late next year. There is a huge consumer backlash to the near complete disappearance of far superior physical controls in exchange for cheap touchscreens.
I wouldn’t pay nearly 40k (over 40k OTD) for something that only has 180hp, especially since it was already struggling with acceleration from last generation. They just took an underpowered drivetrain and stuck it in an even heavier shell. You could’ve done much better Subaru.
Very conservative company. They advance their design language very slowly, especially since they've carved a stronger following from the marketplace. Very careful steps, all measured, pays dividends.
Soooooooo boring to drive. Without a hybrid/powerful model I’m not interested. Subarus are greatly underpowered. To release any of them with a weak 4 cylinder for that price is absurd.
Hideous! Was waiting for the redesign. What a disappointment. Colors trims all just blah... Looks like an Ascend. Went back to looking at getting a 2024 but I think it's time for a manufacturer change. Very disappointing. Subaru design division is out of step with style
Such a disapointment. Havent seen such an ugly car for a long time, the proportions are ridiculous - the old model looks so much better. + i'm sure the new wont have such good offroad skills, because its bigger, heavier and has much wider wheels. I'm also sure it wont last as long as the old ones without any troubles/issues (for example, the touchscreen will never last 15-30 years like the classic buttons and controls - and thats a big problem, because everything is on that touchscreen now: the climate control, the radio, the navigation and the x-mode selector). I would go with the old model, there are still many on stock and you could get a really good price now. Or even more safe buy: the Outback. Because it dont have any hybrid battery and has a naturally aspirated engine - this car will last 30 years and 1 mio kilometers without problems.

Congratulations 🎉
How do you feel about the suspension of the Sport trim (Firm, Soft, or Medium Firm) ?

Congrats!
did you get the Harmon Kardon sound system?
Change you oil if you plan to keep the car .... should always change oil at or before 500 miles. On my 4th forester ....
Subaru has stepped up on the interior design and materials. Really appreciate your very detailed review.
Current dream car, color and everything
Love the refresh. Beautiful inside, love the quality work.

No heated steering wheel basically takes this off my list. That makes me so sad.
@glacierescape7888 Move to Canada, the heated steering wheel starts at the Premium trim and upwards.
lol can’t imagine I’d be so soft as to need a heated steering wheel.
@@onefastr6 OMG it is better than heated seats. I would choose the heated steering wheel at -40° and let my bum freeze.

What made you pull the trigger on the limited vs sport?

Me entregan la mía el Lunes y estoy emocionado, les contaré cuáles son mis impresiones una vez que la tenga
Bought mine this week. I really intended on buying a CX-50 but the Forester has so much more space in the backseat.
We have a '19 Forester Sport and have loved it. This refreshed Subie will be one of our first options when it's time to shop again.
never understood the comments from people saying subaru did a bad job with the styling comparing to an explorer/rav4
two of the best selling SUVs in America
I’m getting mine today!!!! Exact same color.
Most detailed test drive what I'v seen before of 2025 sport, but still not found acceleration in manual mode !
Expensive 19" tires are something to consider when deciding on the Sport.
If you're paying $40k for a vehicle, you should be ok with spending $1000 on tires every 5 years.
Have an 01 fozzy and an 08 sports. I absolutely love this model
Love the Forester Sport but it should have the 2.4L Turbo like the Legacy Sport has. Maybe it will become a hybrid next year?
He did say the hybrid is coming soon.
Time will tell..
Really enjoyed your review.
They need to put a turbo in it like they have in the OBW.

i like the refresh big time for the Forster model.
Marvelous job Kenny.
I like the premium trim’s cloth seats.
Love the new look, picking up a sport trim soon😅
I've a 2019 Forester Sport. I want this so bad😂
Love the redesign
Wow..this is nice for the price. Great review.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
The front reminds me of a Buick Enclave. 😂
Lol
Do the forester have an option with cooling seats? Great video bro
It’s not bad, but if they did make it a little bit faster, I know this car would’ve been selling like hot cakes, but hopefully when the hybrid comes out it’s better
How is the ride quality with those 19-inch wheels and 50 sidewall tires? I like the 235 width on the tires.
Bro love your reviews 💪
Can you put any weight on the cargo cover? Like a grocery bag or gym bag? Thumbs up review. Peace
I’d say maybe a little weight, but nothing over 10 lbs
Not everyone wants a hybrid, would rather a turbo.
I’ll pass on $4 a gallon gas for a turbo.
Thinking of trading in my new HRV in for this.
Would you say the hybrid model would be with more power ?
I like your vids & I will buy this new SUV 1 day.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Still no TURBO- yuck. How hard is it to put the 260 hp turbo in the Forester model.
Right
Not happening. They want people buying outbacks
Great review..
I know Fairfax and Loudoun very well. Where the hell is there a windmill around there?
Claude Moore? I’ve been there a million times and never noticed the windmill.
Does sport model come with remote start?
voice cool❗️
Subaru Forester is cool❗️
Why do the gauges blink while you are driving?
Needs dual exhaust…it looks lopsided from the rear. That’s a real nice car tho!
every one of those options is almost pure profit
i got the dark purple one!
Does anyone else hate the lack of physical climate controls?

@@RareGenXer I hope so! I also wish car makers would get rid of that gloss piano black plastic on everything.
Try to compare a Forester to the Ascent ... as low end Ascent seems to be around price of normal Forester like limited.
Will they have the wilderness for the 2025

You can get these for invoice.
Great car,
Looks stable
Need more power. They should bring back the turbo.
Should’ve had a wilderness ready
Subaru ❤❤❤
Does the 2025 forester sport have a steering wheel heater?
The US Sport trim does not come heated. The Canadian one does. Limited is the first trim that includes heated steering wheel! :)
Not mentioned: Subaru decided not to include power anything on the passenger's front seat.
why the hell didn't they put duel exhaust on it LOL that little cover looks stupid af SPORT EDITION BTW
Need the new wilderness
Old model was way better and sportier
Why do the dash lights blink constantly?
Just the camera shutter speed settings, nothing wrong with the lights 😉
@@StudyingVStudying makes sense thanks
Glad that Subaru still makes symetrical AWD vehicles. Great review as always. Greetings

Forester is dead until they revive the XT
It would be a great vehicle of didnt have that trash cvt
