Because it's much more satisfying to watch then to complete the game instantly
mary brown yeah but at one point it looks boring 3 4 time is ok
He did it to show off and it looks like it must've cost him a fortune to keep playing on... but if you keep one underneath the glass and keep getting more rainbow blasts it makes for lots of points in the Lightning challenge.

He was doing that to get points afterwards. Because if he would of done cleared the blast in the beginning there would of been no fruits or other characters on the board to gain points from.
