If you spin your project 90 degrees when you lift the presser foot to get past the zipper, you will be able to open the zipper without lifting your needle out the project. Just discovered this today. 😁👍

I just learned how to put on a zipper from another tutorial. I don't think that I would try putting on a zipper between two pieces of fabric. You don't really see what you're sewing

What is the setting for the zipper foot? I can’t find any that has the same letter marking as my zipper foot :( I have the brother project runway machine and if I’m correct you are using the same machine , so what number do you set it to?
There's not setting for zipper foot, just line up the needle with the foot and ur good to go
I'm just now looking this up and I've already sewn a backpack. How do I start?

Sorry, can you show how you move the zipper foot?
Looking at the zipper foot, notice the vertical bar running down the center; this is the divider. The horizontal bar is what your machine holds onto, and the attachment point on your machine will fit on either side of the vertical bar, which allows you to sew on either side of the zipper.
