Israel is an APARTHEID state.
Zionism is a serious challenge to the moral narcissism that Avi alludes to. It has saved and uplifted more Jews than any other movement. So, the Jewish opponents of Zionism feel compelled to belittle it. Charles makes the essential point that Palestinianism starts with Islamic Jihad.
Charles Jacobs is against BLM. I hope the extremist Jewish government will get rid of dual citizenship in Israel. Once passed in the Knesset white Jews have to choose between US or Israeli citizenship. Most white Jews will choose US citizenship. This would reduce the number of white Jewish voters in Israel. This would strengthened the non white Jewish extremist in the Knesset.

Charles is right when he says no state has been founded without defeating the existing population and absorbing them into the conquerer. Normally the men were killed and the women and children were taken as slaves. However after 1945 with the formation of the UN this is wrong under international law. So the best solution is to divide Palestine into two states. Egypt and Israel had made peace with secure borders. Also Jordan and Israel had made peace with secure borders. Also Israel can do the same with Lebanon and Syria. But Israel appears not to be interested because that would be returning the Golan and the west bank and east Jerusalem.

Moral narcissism. Thank you, Avi. Having NOT grown up in that culture, I deeply appreciate someone of fine intelligence speaking up what I have been shouting from my corner.
When I came as an immigrant in the 1980s to New York, from a different Eastern European country, I met a very interesting octogenarian. Born into a well-to-do secular Polish-Jewish family (his father was one of the first neurosurgeons in Europe - 19th century), he received a solid multilingual, multicultural education and was witty and charming till the end.
He used to check new arrivals to New York in a simple way - he gauged the level of antisemitism - the higher it was, the most certain he was that the person is the KGB (other equivalent) plant.
Lex Fridman would fail this test.
For some reason Charles Jacobs can't bring himself to say "black antisemitism." Instead says the much weaker and oblique "minority antisemitism".
Well, some other minority groups are sickly antisemitic too.

First, Jewish organizations are financed by donors and here is the main problem. Organizations and schools don't do anything the wealthiest donors/boards don't promote and don't expect them to do. The negative changes in the most visible organizations reflect the decline of "Jewishness" in American population, particularly the upper financially layer. In addition, many board members (like most non-profit board members elsewhere) are there for status (oh, ah, they are charitable) and networking, have no idea what the institutions are about, what Jews and/or Judaism are, abuse those naive who chose the career of service to Jewish people and insert their favorites, sometimes sickly antisemitic. Yes, this is the ultimate betrayal. And yes, it's their role in our political process that is really damaging to Jews and not that of some employees. Yes, I see a problem with boards members coming to their non-profit board meetings straight from THEIR fundraisings for Obama and the like.
Yes, Avi is correct. Narcissism is partly to blame. I tend to repeat that I despise "MY precious genitals, MY precious billions and MY precious Palestinians" liberalism. We have a significant segment of Jews who have had comfortable lives and, sadly, I view many of them as "overfed, overprivileged and overprimitive." There are probably many other contributing factors, including American stress on success ("the best revenge is success.") Somehow American Jews have missed the fact that when the soul is destroyed, success is questionable. Yes, as you can guess, I am an immigrant who is very close to the horrors of the last century. And I actually can't view most liberal American Jews as educated. They seem to be very shallow, flat as a paper.
There are countless problems with education in America in general and Jewish education in particular. When American notorious ahistoricism was replaced with aggressive anti-historicism the country was doomed. In addition, someone decided that there is no need for knowledge (it's complicated "who"). I will never forget my reaction to American professors' proud pronouncements "We don't give them knowledge. We teach them how to think (or we inspire them)" I knew that EMPTY thinking heads don't exist. Other problems are: adding technology and thus "subtracting" other knowledge, omnipresent kitschy psychobabbling/wokeism, etc. Jewish education has, of course, additional problems such as, not very Jewish parents, high percentage of leftist cretins, cost etc.
Antisemitism/The Holocaust. The lack of sensitivity to various forms of Anti-Judaism/antisemitism is linked to many things, such as a relative comfort, poor education, lack of knowledge of history/total detachment from Jewish experience/lack of Jewish identity, narcissism etc. The level of idiocy in this area is really terrifying. And yes, the common blaming of Jews for antisemitism is, of course, antisemitic. Years ago, I met an American "Jewish" woman who was working for Spielberg's Holocaust project. Among things she said was: "Yes, it mattered how Jewish people had treated non-Jews. I know that because one woman said that she had been nice and someone saved her." This shows who is hired for such projects. Yes, I wanted to strangle her (my father's entire large traditional Polish-Jewish family perished) and clearly a Polish-Jewish guy in the group was itching to do the same. The Holocaust "education" is very Hollywoody and manipulated by assorted forces. Few know that most Jews perished not in camps, but as result of charming activities of Einsatzgruppen. Few know that big countries, including France, folded within weeks and the illiterate and evil babble about babies and pregnant women not fighting the German army. Pure evil.
Israel. You covered most of it. The reality is that there are some 200 countries in the world. In many of them people are cooked, boiled and fried, women are stoned for being raped, etc. but the world, including many American Jews my ass, screeches: "Israel." Like you, I hear often: 'Anti-Zionism is not antisemitism. It's OK to criticize the government." And it often starts with "As a Jew, I think." When some lesbian rabbi with the name Deirdre O'Connor (I changed the name) insists that she, sitting in her Westchester mansion, has the right to bomb the Holocaust survivors in Israel (my interpretation), I scream. I always think/say: It's OK for you to criticize YOUR government (also responsibility is required), but when it comes to the world, there are 200 governments for you to criticize. BTW, I never use "As a Jew, I think.." partly because it always followed by something very ugly, like "As a Jew, I think that Israel should be destroyed" Sadly, there is no exaggeration here. Just light interpretation.
I don't know how to do it, but Jews must know their history - all of it (not just -we're persecuted and there was the Holocaust - in Hollywood version). Ignorance is terrifying. Among other things, they should know about the etymology of the word Palestine, St. Augustine's Doctrine of Contempt and some of its variations, such as relative or reverse Holocaust denial: "Yes, the Germans did some bad things, but bad things happen all the time and look what JEWS are doing in Israel."
Ah, and Avi, sorry, but I don't think it's a good idea to send Jewish children to Christian schools. Actually, I know that. And it's difficult for me not to view this as ... betrayal. Yes, I know my history - all aspects of it.

Thank you for your concerned efforts which you imply have been going on for at least 20 years. I'm quite new the this game. I've hit the 40:00 - 40 minutes mark, so far. I don't know anything about either of you. I've heard of JNS because I must have seen a few videos from JNS. Here's what I noticed. But first I am not questioning anything about your own Jewish practices or what you think Jewish is, or whether you believe in anything considered part of Judaism, or any possible form of 'judaism'. I notice in 40 minutes you do not once mention anything Jewish. You do not mention anything related specifically to Judaism - in any form. You do not mention anything about Torah, Talmud, Pirkot Avot, etc. With two possible 'exceptions' if I take a loose view. The first exception was when one of you said 'we're all liberals'. I can let that pass for Jewish person's somehow learned from Torah to be kind, generous, and to look after anyone in need. The 2nd possible exception came around the 40 minutes mark and that was that 'a Jew can eat pork on a high holiday if their life were in danger and such food may possibly save their life'. Otherwise... nothing about what it really is to be a Jewish person. Yet... there sure was a LOT of kvetching. That 'four letter word' 'antisemitism' was spouted dozens of times. 'holocaust' may have been a dozen or more times? When you titled the talk and the video with the HORRIBLE mean, misplaced words of failure and cowardice and claim in talk that YOU are the watchpersons with an overview of jewish leadership when really what you are talking about are a specific range of types of Jewish organizations. When in reality there likely 1000s if not 10s of 1000s of brilliant, gifted, dedicated, and succeeding Jewish leaders at least in the English speaking world. 1000s of those happen to be Rabbis. Even 1000s of those Rabbis who lead successfully are Orthodox Rabbis. Yet... up to 40 minutes that is never mention. The remainder post-40 may be a bona fide triumvirate discussion about Torah, Talmud, Mishna, etc. I don't know, yet. But 40 minutes without any of those of our GREATEST assets as a community and Culture... 40 minutes is way too long. Maybe such talks actually should start with such a discussion say for 3 minutes to get a fix on the real heart of the matter. Of any matter to do with Jewish people. Without such a tactic... we will all either kvetch or jest or lashon hora. There were two points which DID begin to shift the kvetch-a-rama. One was about 32:00 for a minute or so. Another was at about 38:00 for a minute or so. Gentlemen, I am positive your hearts are in the right place and space, but, you each need to use your seichel/intellect in a significantly different way. I notice in Comments, so far... every commenter is in your camp and giving you kudos. There are SO MANY 'youngish' leaders in our grand Jewish world. Many have been doing good things for years but I've only come to find them during these tragic months. As just one simple example - the 8 witnesses giving testimony to Congress about what they have experienced at USA universities. Brilliant, gifted LEADERS.
