yeah but what's he saying is basically using his children/descendants and hijacking them to live on for 400 years,as your children will definitely have high affinity to his current soul.
The seal that roswaal had placed on him and when he's saying if subaru failed it would have bee placed on him when in ep 14 he placed the straight bet,so roswaal had this failsafe if subaru did lose even if he RBD this seal would still would have been placed on him because its on his soul not body and thus subaru couldn't disobey roswaal...it was literally do or die loop

@@Lancer02 It's more fucked up the more you analyze the scene. Subaru left mind broken Emilia without his iconic tracksuit jacket because he left it with her. The implication being that she wouldn't let him leave unless he left a piece of himself with her. This is of course being the mind broken Emilia who thinks everyone has abandoned her so she needs that comfort. You can see this in anime as when Subaru comes back chewed all to hell Emilia is hugging the jacket.
What this means for the Taste of Death kiss is that as she knows Subaru is dying, or in her mind going leaving her again, so she kisses him thinking it will give her a baby so she can retain a piece of him after he's gone. So if this loop does continue on, she's going to sit there waiting for a baby that will never come. It's super fucked. Enjoy!
