The local community tip is a great one. It allows you to connect with collectors in your area or state, meet people with similar interests, and from the limited time I have been collecting most people in the Funko Collecting Community are great and supportive people.

TIP #6: Stick to your fandom especially if you know you wouldn't collect that brand or franchise outside of Funko in general. It hurts those that are fans of that specific property when they are trying to complete a set or finding a Chase. Flippers are notorious for trying to grab anything and everything under the sun just to turn it around for a quick profit.

I follow most of those accounts on Twitter. Is there much difference vs Instagram? I also follow the local Hot Topic stores on Facebook. They usually post new stuff coming out the next day the previous evening.
My Number 1 Tip: Be an out of box collector. Even Funko employee Cameron had to say this, "You should take your pops out of the box because they look better and just keep the boxes for the value. Yoko had this to say, "Funko pops should be taken out of the box because you can notice EVERY detail on them and just keep the boxes." Sorry but I'm just stating facts here.
Totally agree. What I also don't like is that Top Pops ( another funko tuber you probably know) collects in box now and he puts pops in front of other pops so you can only see 1/3 of the collection...
Yeah I actually like his channel but I hate the way he displays his funko pops. I tried messaging him so many times to at least get rid of the black shelves and stack his pops against the wall so we can at least see them all. Or if he can take them OOB again. He just ignores me every time
Great Video! I was wondering if you can do a similar video but about apps or helpful websites that can be useful to know which stores has some specific funkos in stock instore (ex. Brick seek etc.) that some might not even know about 🤔
You should do a video on Waffles, fails & Grails, and being taken advantage of being a new collector. Some of the gimmick games they do on Facebook are rigged. Some people are making like $8000 a month running these games for POPs.
Great video Mason! Very helpful, watching yours and others videos have helped me tremendously. I wish I would of known a lot of these things when starting. Another 2 things I wish I would of known about was, what a chase is....and about sdcc releases online. Just thought a Chase was more common to find (silly I know ) haha. Love these videos

Well being out of box collector would save time buying protector, but i like the boxes though. Very informative video :)

Not sure what the difference is. I feel like they update Instagram more often but I could be wrong

Yeah some pops I like having oob. I have a whole baseball bat display case full of Spiderman pops
I like to keep mine in the boxes and the ones up front on my shelf i'll take them out sometimes to display them infront of the box
I keep them in the box because I don’t like my friends/family touching them :/
