Wow! I've never seen, or even heard of this dessert, but it looks so interesting! Not being a major sweets fan, I usually don't partake, but this looks absolutely delicious! I would definitely try this!
I myself was curious about where the cheesecake brownie came from and found that it was the Pillsbury baking mix company that created the first version in the form of a cheesecake swirl brownie mix. I remember that when it came out, along with a couple other novelty flavors. It was the first time a brownie had been seen with anything more extraordinary than nuts or chocolate chips, maybe a fudge icing. Pretty sure one of the other new mixed varieties that they came out with was a turtle candy flavor and the other was coconut macaroon. They were all really really delicious. And I'm sure one of the major brands of cake mixes still has those flavor varieties on the shelf. Maybe you can find Copycat recipes and make your own without all the garbage that comes in those pre-assembled mixes.
One of the absolute best desserts and your's looked like a 10. The first time I had this it was served at a party and had fresh half-cut strawberry on each square which made for a nice presentation. It's 100% though on its own! Yummy! Bly! xoxo
"Hey" from the Tampa Bay area of Florida, USA. Hope y'all doing well and looking forward to the new year. Enjoy ya video. The creative and reactionary type. Well done. More congrats to Mrs. H for expanding her culinary skills and knocking the-ball-outta-the-park results. Ya Cheesecake Brownies look fantastic and it's always a pleasure to witness ya successes. Have fun, be safe and enjoy life to the fullest. :)
My mother used to make cream cheese brownies when I was a child (I'm in my 50s). She used Duncan Hines Brownie mix, and on the back of the box it had a recipe for adding cream cheese and other ingredients.
I once went to a bakery near my work site for some coffee and pastry, and they had Kahlua (coffee liqueur) Brownies. They were so delicious and decadent! They looked a lot like your cheesecake brownies except the cream cheese part was more of a tan color. As a variation, I recommend you adding some coffee liqueur to the cream cheese mixture before mix it into the brownie mixture. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.❤ Also, have those brownies with some coffee. It’s a perfect pairing!
Those looked good, Mrs H! I've made and eaten a lot of brownies, and blondies too, and have never eaten one with a fork. They sort of fall into that cookie/cupcake category of eaten from hand, unless served warm with ice cream.
Mrs H, My version of that recipe was a happy accident. But thought for Mr H perhaps add peanut butter chips to the cheesecake mix to make kinda a Reece's peanut butter cheesecake brownies.
My dear, if you are eating a brownie that is dry then it is either made incorrectly or it is a couple weeks too old. There's a reason why brownies are often called fudgy brownies. Most Americans won't take a second look at a cakey brownie because they're not brownies. If you wait until the next day or at least until they're cooled off properly you can pick them up and eat them like a proper brownie is supposed to be eaten. None of this Fork silliness.

Can’t go wrong with a brownie🎉😂❤
Some variations you can try, is adding Java chips, or white chocolate chips.

I tell people all the time, if your brownie is cakey then it IS cake!
I make an awesome cheesecake but to add brownies is way too sweet
That is the ugliest mess of food I have ever seen. And yet so appealing.
