I just bought these. I hesitated at first because I have already purchased 7 other patch sets for the Rev2 from different sound designers. But I recently purchased your Pro3 set and those are fantastic: somehow very rich and full without being hard-edged and punchy in a cheap way. So I decided to get this set for the Rev2 based on that, I'm glad I did. Hearing a video isn't the same as testing them out myself. Somehow these are more subtle and nuanced than other sounds I have purchased. Not sure how you did that, but, nice work! Well worth the money. Thanks
Lovely patches! It's weird, a lot of people tell me the P6, OB6 (or even trigon 6) is an upgrade from this, personally this machine is the nicest to my ears of the lot. I'll grab these patches when I get a rev2!
@@monsterjazzlicks no i mean usually people make presets with sounds i wouldn't really use but sound cool. These are "modern sounds" that i would use in a track today.
Some people have their filter setting by default with Foot Assign on LPF Half which limits the filter range. Amazing how many people don't check global settings.
Thank you!! First Summit Bank was release a few months ago if you haven't checked that out :) - www.orano.co.uk/product-page/novation-summit-altitude-vol-1
Awesome sounds, a no brainer to save some time. Can we choose what bank to upload them too, just as with the Pro 3 sounds? I have Bank 1 and 2 my own custom sound.
Hi there, thanks! yes I have included identical banks to choose from from 1 to 4 also a folder containing all 100 individual patches so you can be more selective with locations if required 👌
Very nice! Curious why all of these sounds are octave- I get the brunt of them, but like 90% were lower, deeper sounds…even the melodic ones were at most middle octave range. No shade, just legit was wondering!
@@scottmcauleysounds word- I’ve had a few people tell me the Prophet is better for bass sounds and was wondering if the general impression was that things didn’t sound good in the higher octaves 😅 but I guess that wouldn’t make sense anyway
@@monsterjazzlicks ah yes I think it will be matrix synth sharing my link. The Synth below is actually the Prophet 12 being used as a controller for the REV2 Desktop :) Thanks for watching
Not something I have noticed. But I guess the easy solution is not to run each oscillator at max. If you have the others at a lower level to accommodate then the overall patch level increased it should resolve it. 👌
Value for money, no, it is best bang for buck. but it depends on what sound you like. The REV2 is a workhorse, My Favourite is the OB6 and the P10 but thats my personal taste :)
@@gretareinarsson7461 you will not go wrong with a REV2, it is worth investing in some external effects too, it does really bring these synths to life. Something like the Big Sky, Specular Tempus, Warus Audio Sloer reverbs or the Eventide H90 multi effects. they are a big investment but so so worth it to get the best from synths. My full official demos are all with internal synth effects (if the synth has them), so buyers know what they are getting. But an external hardware reverb is a must IMO. :)
in my packs I supply all options named U1 to U4 so you can choose where you'd like them to go. I also supply folder with each individual sound as separate syx file for those who prefer to completely re-organise :)
@@scottmcauleysounds Thank you very much for you detailed quick response. And the dedication for making the demonstration videos. You convinced me, i will buy your pack later this month!

Hey Tom, Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! and glad you are happy with your purchase!
What were the onboard FX sounds like?
nice to hear some different sounds for rev2 for once
Thanks 🙏
Yes, I don't think I have heard a collection of patches all under one roof such as this one.
Lovely patches!

Wow, how can those be an upgrade when this has layering and 3x the polyphony?
Yes, a strange comparison!
11:37 nothing like that Prophet SIZZLE!!!! 😌
Wow this is Great! Finally someone using this to make modern sounds 🎉
Best sounds I've heard from Rev2 are Jexus' -- if you haven't heard those yet find Jexus on UA-cam and hear his Rev2 sounds. Amazing stuff.
You mean the video with all of the birds and wildlife on?
@@monsterjazzlicks no i mean usually people make presets with sounds i wouldn't really use but sound cool. These are "modern sounds" that i would use in a track today.
beautiful P12
these sound great. I don't know how people can knock the filter on the rev2 I think it sounds amazing
The Classic Curtis filter 2Pole/4Pole, it's what makes the REV2 sound so good :)
this is an amazing synth!!!

Awesome work. Looking forward to your inspired Novation Summit soundset!

Thanks. 🙏 no specific reason for octave choice. Was likely the octave I had the P12 set at as a controller. 👍

@@SpiralCasterPlaysPedals no not at all. It sounds great across all octaves 😊 it is great for basses but can cover lots of sounds over all Octaves 👌
Good that only internal FX are used!
Thanks, it’s the best way to let people hear what they are actually buying.
@@scottmcauleysounds I followed Facebook link. 👍
@@monsterjazzlicks matrixsynth link?
@@scottmcauleysounds I think so. It was a new post and had a big dark photo of a Rev 2 and what looked to be a Rev 2 desktop.

Do you think the sub oscillator on the Rev2 is too quiet? It never goes loud enough for me. I have a tetra as well. The sub can be mixed louder on it.

Do you have a Moog Sub 25 bank, please?
Unfortunately not yet, may be one I do in the future :)

Is he just casually using his prophet 12 as a midi controller
He is 👍
Same pack available for prophet 8?
