- Teams from all over the world gathered to bring Stephanie’s message to her father in space.
They created a message the size of 5.55㎢ - 1.6 times the size of Central Park, New York.
Watch how 11 Hyundai Genesis drew Stephanie’s message onto the Delamar Dry Lake, Nevada.
This message was officially acknowledged as “The largest tire track image” by the Guinness World Records.

This ad is not the usual thing we see on promotional platforms. I find it inspiring and so far, this one is the best car ad I've ever seen. Congratulations Hyundai!

@@VNeto94 Did you read that article? What it says is no astronauts are associated with it nor were filmed for it/appear in it, only public domain footage from space due to ethical issues with using a NASA astronaut for monetary gain.
However, an astronaut aboard the ISS at the time did have a teen daughter named Stephanie.
'if soemthing has been seen from space a company can say that fact, but we're not going to say it for them'
that's a paraphrased quote from the article. Just because the astronaut didn't appear in the commercial and/or NASA didn't want involvement in it didn't mean it didn't happen, especially when the people do exist.

I got goosebumps, reading the article and the more when I watched the video. So amazing and heartwarming to note how a company with its very competent people went out of its way to bring a daughter's message of love to her dad not here on earth but in outer space! This is beyond words. You all greatly deserve the accolades!
From time to time (and when I have to use IE for some reason) I get an ad on UA-cam which I actually don't skip, and enjoy watching. This was one of them.
It's rare that I watch an advert all the way through on UA-cam, but I've let this one run a few times now, and finally clicked through to this "making of" video. It's a brilliant concept and very much deserves the world record it won. Well done to all the team involved in this project.

the choice of Strauss s unbelievable. This ad is as iconic as the opening of Space Odyssey for nearly same reasons. Everything flows despite all the gritty technical work and endless dirt. Spectacular. Fantastic.

My problem with Hyundai is when you drive it once you can't stop driving it. I had a 2006 sonata v6 since then i m on my 4th one. Still love the 06 the most.

AirTech They don't show a still photo in this video, but the part from 5:01 to 5:17 appears to be video recorded from the ISS.
At 3:05 in the "Message From Space" video they show the display on the back of his camera with the image of the message. It's also cool how they used that big ol' rock for an apostrophe.
And again, from 3:28 to 3:40 in the "Message From Space" video they use video apparently recorded from the ISS, ending with the photo her dad took.

I wonder if the dry lake bed was restored to its natural state after the shoot. Deep tire marks like that can endure for dozens of years in an arid environment. It would be a shame if the filmmakers just walked away after they got what they needed.
I hope you people are proud of yourself you destroyed the surface of that lake and it will take years to get repaired thanks a lot another spot we can't play on
