@@ohheycarissaj5661 I ended up getting the epson et 2720. It is smaller but I love it and have had no problems. The only thing I had to do it buy the sublimation ink and paper. I was gonna use the actual epson ink eventually for normal printing though.
I am not an expert and I am just starting in this printing venture. I don't think you have to reset the chip if the cartridges are refillable, just refill them and you are ready to go. Although he is using Gorilla ink and not Epson. If they sell Epson ink for refills, then just do the same process he did with his Gorilla ink, but using Epson.

It will still be a while before a better solution will be available. But this method would work if you are in a jam and need to print wide format from an off the shelf, available now, printer.

@@ZymixProductions you won't be able to use regular ink for sublimation. But you can switch it later, if you choose, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's much better to start with a new, clean printer.

Hello could someone help I have the same printer and did the same setup. My printer will not read my black ink. It keeps saying my black is low and it not. Also when I print my settings are horrible. Lastly I just want to throw the whole printer out the window lol. Now when I try to print it comes out blank 😔

Hi, I am trying to covert my Eason 7720 printer in to sublimation. So far I was able to get the other colors to work but unfortunately the black is not working. Perhaps you know why and you can help me. I have done everything you have recommended which help with the other colors but the black does not print even when printing a nozzle check. Thank you.
Can this printer be used for heat transfer sublimation mugs? I purchased a WF-7720 but haven't even been able to get past the setup screen, not even to the insertion of the ink cartridges. Contacted Epson through email and they're wanting me to call them tomorrow. If I have to return the 7720, I would like to purchase the 7840, but it says that it's "heat-free" and I've always heard the printer heat is what is needed for heat transfer sublimation.

Hi. I’ve converted mine and the colors print ok on the sublimation paper but when I heat press the images, some colors are not showing or printing a different color than what is on the paper. Can anyone help ?
It could be a broken pin if it's just one cartridge that's not being detected. But if you updated the firmware, it will only recognize official Epson chips. You won't be able to use the 3rd party chips anymore.

Im not sure. I've never run into this issue. I've not run into any issues with this printer at all as I don't use it much. Make sure the vent hole is unplugged so that the ink is able to flow out of the cartridges.

After the printer reads empty, you would have to refill it and then buy a new pack of 812xl ink to take the chips out and do it again.

From what I have learned is that you have to buy new epson ink everytime you have to refill and get new chips each time. Sounds pricey.

The counter on the printer was at 40 when oi replaced init cartridges.

ok i did complete set and coversion but my setting do not have the same options. there is no option for a sub or vivid what did i do wrong?
Those are settings that I added. Check my other video for instructions on setting up printing presets.

I use the same color settings for all the ink use no matter the brand.

Replace the chip with a new one. Printers don't read the physical amount of ink inside the printer.

I thought you could only sublimate on polyester, how were you able to get it on metal?
You can sublimate on metal or other materials that have been coated.

No. This printer does not have chips that can reset. You’d have to change out cartridge chips every time they read empty.

Epson chips do not reset. You will have to get new chips from new Epson 812 Cartridges every time.

2 White Toners? Which 2 did you get? I have the color 550.
You should of played with the packaging for 30 minutes first. Instead you just kept delivering gem after gem 💎
