The fact that this song was never even mentioned during the Gershwin Awards gives an amazing testament to the strength of their catalog. I personally think it’s one of their best!!
@@frankrothiz4uStill alive, sometimes the only person who saves our lives, is us. That takes the most courage of all. It was a metaphorical comment, Phil read my mind when I needed it most, but can also apply literally.

@@_NCO Not knowing anything about you, with no channel content I frankly wouldn’t trust talking with you about anything more than the superficial and choose to keep my cards close to the vest. This sounds beautiful. I need to buy the same release of this great album, but it's so difficult to get British LPs and get one graded accurately since in my experience they often have a very loose definition of NM in England, so I have a hard time with trusting someone to sell me a properly graded record. Essentially, NM should be an 8/10, with no scratches, only benign scuffs, etc., and British record sellers often seem to feel otherwise.
request: classic REM only up to Fables of the Reconstruction , i.e Chronic town, Murmur,, Reckoning , Fables, keep in classic (my vinyl of these are a disaster)
It wasn't written until 1974. On the SS France on his way to the USA. Recorded in 1974 and released in 1975. First album to go straight to No.1 on Billboard upon release.
@@homeone4054 100% correct. Here's a quick discography-Honky Chateau, Released 5/19/72; Goodbye Yellow Brick Road-Released 10/5/73; Caribou-Released 6/24/74 and Captain Fantastic-Released 5/19/75, exactly 3 years to the day after Honky Chateau. I bought ALL of these when they came out. I know, proven facts can be a pesky thing.

If you mean that literally then I 'm glad you're still with us friend, how are you doing now ??

The last and perhaps greatest of a phenomenal series of Lps from John & Taupin...
If someone forced me to choose my favorite Elton track, ya this is it ❤🙏🏻
Mine would be Tiny Dancer.
Superb Elton, thank God we have your music.
Elton just has so many great songs. This transports me back to my middle school years. Thanks for posting!
Never heard those drums and bass so deep on tape, not even on cds.But thanks a lot for this one.

Wonder if The Floyd ever gave credit where credit was due on their backup vocals on The Wall.

the side view of this turntable looks wobbly is it a direct drive or belt drive?
👏👏👏
Funny as the middle shows reflections in it from the vinyl core print.
