    Seems pretty cool, but that price....I already have a headlight on my bike so I will just continue using it. What do we say? Mine is enough...or something like that

    Magicshine is a recent sub brand by Olight for bike lighting, both of them are Chinese native companies.

      Was literally going to post that magicshine seems to have similar products/features and might have the same supplier. Thanks for confirming.

    Which mount you have on your City pro that I can use with the light? I know you said it comes with mounts, the one you have on your handlebar on the City pro, did that come with the light? Thanks in advance

      It comes with a GoPro style mount. So I just used a GoPro adhesive mount and quick release buckle to attach it to the scooter.

    Are there other ways to mount it to the handlebar? You said bands sizes arent good. Can you use a gopromount on the handlebar and mount the light on that?

    Even with a PAIR of 3000 lumen Olight Seeker 2 (non-pro variant) flashlights (operating on Turbo for the brief time they will before automatically stepping down to a lower brightness level) mounted on my Wolf King GT Pro eScooter handlebars, in conjunction with the robust, factory-installed, dual headlights on the scooter set to operate on high mode, I still find this combination of light output to be inadequate for safe nighttime riding. I still need something brighter, so while the light featured in this video is indeed appealing, I can’t imagine it to be enough to facilitate safe riding at night, unfortunately.

    • @nicthedoor
      @nicthedoor  Рік тому +1

      I'm surprised by that. I don't even use the top brightness. How fast are you riding?

      In normal daytime conditions, where visibility is obviously much higher, I sometimes reach speeds above 50 mph but my average speed will be much lower. When it’s dark out and much harder to see, I’m forced to go much slower. Lights that mostly point only fwd do little to illuminate driveway entrances, curbs alongside me and side street locations where I may want to turn, leaving those spots dangerously in blackout darkness, especially if oncoming car headlights have just temporarily spoiled my night-adjusted vision. I’m also 51 years old with aging eyes, so that could be a factor.

      Why are you trying to ride an escooter at 50 miles an hour with bike lights? LMAO They make escooter bike lights that have much higher lumens and are powered directly by the ebike for a reason. Escooters are not meant for going 50 miles an hour at night with a regular bicycle light. TF is wrong with you?

      “Why are you trying to ride an escooter at 50 miles an hour with bike lights?”
      - I never claimed to be using any lights specifically made for bikes. I only mentioned handheld flashlights; high-lumens ones, at that.
      “LMAO They make scooter bike lights that have much higher lumens and are powered directly by the ebike for a reason.”
      - Feel free to direct me to a product by brand name and model; I’ll consider using it.
      “Escooters are not meant for going 50 miles an hour at night with a regular bicycle light.”
      - again, I never mentioned using any bike lights on MY eScooter, which can surpass 60 mph with ease. I just haven’t personally pushed it to that speed yet.
      Finally, your last question (which I’ve redacted, due to its abusive nature) is likely why UA-cam has censored your entire comment from this thread in accordance with its anti-harassment and cyber-bullying policies.

    I am actually a huge Olight fan. I have their Baton 3 Premium amongst their other flashlights. However, in terms of bike lights, I'd have to say that certain Chinese brands are better, such as the Victagen 8000 Lumens light that has a high beam and low beams. Granted, the light is no where near 8000 lumens, it's more like 2000 lumens, maybe a tiny bit bright than that, so yeah the lumens claim is a straight up lie, which I don't like. However, for $38 - $40, a bike light with 5800mAh with a very wide low beam pattern and a bright high beam is amazing. I can literally see so far from side to side that it feels a lot safer to ride.
