Mark Miller of Sawyer Brown joined Bobby Bones to talk about his life and career journey! Sawyer Brown is often mistaken for a person, so he set the record straight that it's no one's name and just the name of the band. Mark released his book, 'The Boys and Me: My Life In The Country Supergroup Sawyer Brown.' In it, he shares stories of how the band got turned down by every label in Nashville and then got their start on Star Search. He also shares what some of his first jobs were like when he had to water ski as Pinocchio at Disney World. Mark also recalls the time he first met Larry Bird and they golfed together, and he didn't say a word to him the entire time! He also talks about his first new record in 20 years, Desperado Troubadour, and how he got Blake Shelton to produce it. Mark also dives into the stories behind some of Sawyer Brown's biggest hits and more!
I've been a Sawyer Brown fan since the beginning! I've seen them live many, many times, and once saw them four times in the same week! I love Mark's voice, dance moves, and personality! Sawyer Brown will always be my favorite band! This was an incredible interview and brought out the fan girl in me!
I want to start by saying Sawyer Brown is my all time favorite band!!! I got to meet them back in 96 or 97 at the Hampton beach casino. My grandmother made friends in line with who turned out to be Mark's cousin. This meet and greet meant the world to me. My nana has since passed away and I lost my signed hat during hurricane Katrina. I see sawyer brown is coming to the country cajun fest in Denham Springs in May this year. I got my pit passes and can't wait to see Sawyer Brown!!!!!

Never paid them any attention bc of my sister (who has always had taste the complete opposite of mine) was crazy over SB… until “The Walk”. Omg, I love that song & his voice sounds like my all time favorite, BJ Thomas. I retire this summer & will definitely make it a point to see them play live.
