I had a same experience with almost all Air India flights from Delhi to Chennai and Chennai to Delhi 😢 Painful experience when I compared with other flights. I seen some insects and cockroaches near to the food storage boxes at front side and informed to cabin crew team. 😢
Honestly i heard these sort of complaints from my close friends who travelled from Florida to Hyderabad by Air India recently ( I don't know the route though ) ............I know they are in transition period but still there are some standards to be maintained and unfortunately it is not happening ........... Hope Tata's Air India will bounce back with full facilities as per international standards and gives a good challenging competition to Emirates, Qatar, Etc.........Eagerly waiting for your new trip.....
I understand your frustration, bro. Lack of investment for several years is the reason for Air India's state. Give it a couple of years, and I am sure Air India will go to new heights under TATA's. I see they already started A350 service to JFK and EWR.

Yes Brother, Same experience and Food is also worst. Our flight scheduled postponed by 20 hours and they served food prepared for original schdule and not propery stored. I was thinking to fly in December as TATA took over . Thanks for this Video I will not pick Air India Any time soon. Exactly my experience, (broken trey, smelly seats, non-working entertainment for more than half of the plane).. not once, but multiple times. They take it for granted, and the travelers don't seem to care 😞
I agree with you 100%, we are not flying for free and paid what they asked....and there's nothing wrong in expecting minimum things. Don't worry about some comments saying Tata acquired recently blah blah(lol most of them never flown internationally and dont know the pain of not having minimum amenities )....it's not that recent and it's important to upgrade major routes quickly and firstly

Agree internal flights we have bad experiences. Indian domestic is much better than many others infarct better than American domestic. Problem with Air India international flights (most Boeing 777 200/300) are 15+ years old and both air lines and passengers' maintenance are very bad.
I have traveled as much within India as the USA. I am not sure how many times you have flown within USA … but I have to disagree American domestic flights aren’t worse than Indian domestic flights

I hope Air India can improve its service to better support families and offer more flexibility in these situations.
I know, right? It was really disappointing. Traveling with a baby is already challenging, and the least they could do is accommodate basic needs like a spot for feeding. No ethics in there business as well... there food product labels also misleading....

I'm disappointed to hear this happened after TATA took over, it shouldn't have been this way. I'll avoid flying from the USA to India with them and will choose Middle Eastern airlines instead until they upgrade their aircraft kudos to your patience.
I had the same experience when i travelled on Air India in Business class from Delhi to Chicago with no in flight entertainment for the entire duration od the flight. The crew came to me asking for feedback with a Disclaimer that we already knew about entertainment system not working so anything else for improvement. I was like all i can say is Thank You.

This was true , On june 2024 while i am traveling from London to Hyderabad horrible journey, inflight facilities are not up to mark like monitor, food lights ect .. Recently 20 days back i travelled from Hyderabad to New York again same issue , extra problem is lights are malfunction and it was continuously blinking and in flight staff provided eye masks if we ask to change seat , this was happn 8 seats in different places not only one seat 😂😂😂
Bhaiya atleast the B787-8 has some redeeming qualities the infotainment system usually works, and occasionally even the charging port functions. But the 777-300ER is just terrible its a miracle if either of these things worked properly on it. Air India really needs to retire the 777-300ER and replace it with the A350 along with upgrading the existing cabins on the B787-8

America route is not premiere route. May be for you. If you go south Africa the passenger pay the same amount as America for the air lines passenger is important. It doesn't matter whether they are going Merica or other countries.

Sad to hear this Ravi garu , I think you have taken wrong flight I had taken my first international flight from Delhi to London in airbus A350-900 model with connecting flight from Hyderabad Tata is improving their service excellently to upgrade Air India at the time of this video currently they had only 6 of this if the entire line is upgraded with these instead of Boeing fleet then you will have excellent journey. Wish you would fly again with Air India again soon and then give your Review again.
I had the same experience back in 2017. The flight attendant kept saying he would move me to another seat for 14 hours until the plane landed. Ended up sleeping all the way through. They don’t even apologize. Forget about reimbursement. Never fly air india.
even i faced similar kind of issue during my last flight from europe to delhi. 90% of displays wont work and flight gets over 3-4 hours delay....i thought tata might be running good services but they keep repeating same errors
Sorry you have to face these issues. Same happened to us this year booking Air India business class from London to Mumbai. One of the worst experience. We decided not to use Air India again.

Apology is never their cup of tea... AIR INDIA---they have held us in the flight shutting doors for 3hrs without Air conditioning in Bombay (May month) CRAP SERVICE. --Not even an apology was offered even then
I totally agree this , same incident happened with me when I flew from Washington DC to Delhi in February. The whole time the TV didn’t work. I surprised how I travelled that long and as you said no apologies.
Tata already said it will take 2 years to refurbish all their aircraft with new interiors. I am not sure why people such a big fuss about everything… you just have too high expectation for things to change overnight.

America route is not premiere route. May be for you. If you go south Africa the passenger pay the same amount as America for the air lines passenger is important. It doesn't matter whether they are going Merica or other countries.

Sad to hear this Ravi garu , I think you have taken wrong flight I had taken my first international flight from Delhi to London in airbus A350-900 model with connecting flight from Hyderabad Tata is improving their service excellently to upgrade Air India at the time of this video currently they had only 6 of this if the entire line is upgraded with these instead of Boeing fleet then you will have excellent journey. Wish you would fly again with Air India again soon and then give your Review again.

I had the same experience back in 2017. The flight attendant kept saying he would move me to another seat for 14 hours until the plane landed. Ended up sleeping all the way through. They don’t even apologize. Forget about reimbursement. Never fly air india.

even i faced similar kind of issue during my last flight from europe to delhi. 90% of displays wont work and flight gets over 3-4 hours delay....i thought tata might be running good services but they keep repeating same errors
