Great job Ashlyn, I'm sure you and dad will figure out a way to move the panels. The new calf barn is awesome!! Burger King, 😂😂 Great job on setting up the new quarters, every one is confie and happy.
Ashlyn, those new hutches look Spectacular. I noticed that it will be easier to vaccinate with the new gates since they have a headlock built in on the right hand side of the gate. Other wise this video #235 was very well executed and assembled. Keep up the magnificent work. TC and God bless the whole motley crew.
Dairy bulls are the most dangerous animals you can have around. They don't have any fear of people, because they are hand raised. I led a 3 year old on a halter, 1 year later he tried to kill me. Market scale had him over a ton. I won the last round 😮! New hutches look great! And good use of the loose straw. A bit more work, but no waste. Great video, again 👍
ashlyn, that was a good video. you look like you are getting used to the new parts--calf stalls, etc. thanks for explaining the set up to us, just dont ask us to help you move the heavy dividers when you clean the stalls ( grin ) take care and hope to see you in the next one.
my family farm has a calf barn that holds 67 and it is all enclosed. the pens have rock bottoms with perferated pvc at the bottom to take away the liguids of having calves and it works really nice.
SmartASH! Don't beat yourself up, new buckets are the worst. Grade A ASHbanter I was smiling all the way through. "don't make me say it.....BURGER KING!"😂🤣😂. Great video man, thank you. Take care Brother!
The new calf barns looks great. At first I was wondering why you did not face them together but I am thinking you may have faced them south for the added sunlight? It was cool how Fernando went into full bull mode as soon as you mentioned his name. Don’t turn your back on that one.
The new calf barn turned out great Ashlyn!! You and your family are very proud I’m sure. Congrats on another expansion project completed. Take it easy.
You said flat floors in the new calf barn. Isn't there any slop back to front to help drain moisture? Do you ever have the nuisance of calves pulling their buckets out of the holders? We had to screw the grain buckets down as the calves loved to grab them in their mouths and fling them as far as they could.
Yes there is slope. I was talking about how there is no concrete ledge. About the calves flinging buckets... we have some problem with that but it's normally just one or two calves per barn.

Thank you very much. Normally don't need to use the headlock when they are that young.

Always have to keep your head on a swivel around bulls.

I agree Ashlyn looks like the new hutches will be better than the old ones. I wish we could have seen the rodeo of you trying to catch the calf 😂
Nice job Ashlyn setting up the new kid’s quarters. Blessings!
I’d build a panel cart. (It’s actually a thing). There’s a boat load of used ones for sale as well.
Light bulb

Getting stacked buckets pulled apart is something I have not figured out yet.
Put a straw in each as you stack them. Breaks the vacuum

true for the added sunlight, However, it also protects them(calf) from the wind and weather in general.
NEVER turn your back on a Dairy bull. Though they can hit you when you face them, at least you see it coming. Still hurts, though
It's all coming together nicely, now we just need warmer weather!!
Another very interesting video Thank you

If you drill a hole in the bottom of the buckets, it will let air in so they separate easier. 😂
Lol 😆
YES ashlyn lookin good dawg
