4+ Years later and this parody still brings warm feelings to my heart. FIRST definitely has the ability to inspire and lift each of us to a new level in our lives, and FRC Rhapsody will always be an example of that purpose being fulfilled and spread, at least in my mind.
Great parody! It s a fact that FRC has a big power to unite many students from all over the world. I feel very lucky to be involved in such a great activity for 2 years. As a member of an international team, the most beautiful and unforgettable moments of my high school years passed at our workshop and at the competition. 'Thank you Dean for teaching us what really matters!' Love from #3646
Eight years ago, my son was part of the first 1448 team. They went to World Competition that year. The following year, he was the team captain and was able to go to the kick off in Hartford, CT with a local corporate sponsor and the teacher. He made the travel arrangements for them and pointed out they would be an hour from MIT, so they said he could propose a side trip to visit there, since Wood Flowers, one of the founders along with Dean Kamen, taught at MIT. It was approved by the school board--and that ended up being my son's first college visit. He was accepted at MIT (we lived in a little town in SE Kansas and that was so unheard of, he was given a front page article in the local paper for getting in!). He graduated from MIT in 2010, then went to Univ. of Michigan for his Masters and PhD. He is now a scientist for Pratt-Whitney in Hartford, CT. He's gone full circle. If not for FIRST Robotics, he may not have had those doors open for him. He met Woody Flowers, Dean Kamen, etc. Science matters. Math matters. Technology matters. Go for you dreams and who knows where you can end up!!
My younger son was also on the FIRST Robotics team 1448 the four years he was in high school. He is now studying to be an Electrical Engineer on a Nuclear Sub in the US Navy.
I'm so proud of all you guys who made this. Most of all Josh. The lead singer. My grown up little bro. They preformed this live this past weekend in St. Louis in fact. Such a good parody. So much talent.
This is the only parody that I have thoroughly enjoyed, especially the part "he's just a school geek, prom is unlikely." I have legit shown this to the freshmen for three years now and keep coming back to it because it is so well done and hilarious. Great job from the Atomic Armadillos team 4694!
This is so awesome!! Love showing off that we don't just build robots, but have other talents too! SO funny and so great! And Thanks from #3824 for the Regional Winner picture at the end!
I'm the daughter of Hank Mummert, Jr., who mentors with Team 1610 " B.O.T.-Builders of Tomorrow" out of Franklin,Va. Boys, I must say this is a well written parody. Great job and best of luck this year with FRC.
Anyone remember the technical difficulty during the regional and they played this video? And also Angry Eric dancing to Frozen! Amazing regional at RPI
Greetings from Team 2526 (Crimson Robotics) from Maple Grove, MN! I just wanted to say it was AWESOME seeing you guys live at St. Louis! Don't stop being EPIC!
We enjoyed seeing this and your team at the OKC regional. Great job! I don't think anyone realizes how difficult it is to do a good parody unless they've tried it. And you built a robot! Team 31, Prime Movers, salutes you!
Dear team 1448 You guys are amazing for doing this and I had some good laughs with my fellow members of team 4455 (the burger bots) as well as my cousin's team 2357 (system meltdown) Do you really have that much free time or do you just have a lot of kids not working in the robot at one time???? Love Marissa of team 4455
Another member of 67, and I've gotta say this is absolutely amazing! Just wish I had found it sooner, I would've been playing this a lot more at our competitions this year...

You guys are awesome! Thanks for making this video. Great voice there, lead singer! You are all so talented and will go far in life with this great attitude and diverse toolbox of talent! (My son is in FLL and this music video is an inspiration to him!)

ReineReue the funny thing about this is my team 6318 Freedom Engineers missed prom for worlds in St Louis last week.
So did my team, we are 144 The R.O.C.K. For me personally, it wasn't a hard choice.. others......a few stayed to go to prom, most of us went.
ReineReue what about robo prom?
