What a dope video. Loved the comparison and appreciate the tips at the end. I was gifted the same Yashica and I’ll keep those tips in mind when shooting it. The cover portraits are incredible man. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
That last bit about lighting from the side or front rather than black lighting is very important for 35mm. 35mm also has less flexibility in the gamut as well because less light is coming through so your exposure has to be closer to your ideal exposure than 120 film. At the end of the day though I find both are great options
Hi i found your channel last night and I can’t lie I’ve been binge watching all your videos haha you’re a really good photographer I’ve been shooting film for a year now and it’s cool to see you film your start in shooting film as for any advice the video where you shoot Cinestill800t on the yashica was interesting I think you would have gotten better results by using an external light meter, that could be an app on your phone or if you want to be really precise then a sekonic light meter work very well I personally own one and it is a big help In low light shooting also I think if you used a tripod It would’ve helped steady your shot of course and the last thing is usually when I shoot at night the exposure time goes from 1-3 seconds and I usually use a shutter release cable and shoot in bulb mode and use my phone stopwatch to time it right. Anyways great job on the videos man keep it up 👍🏾
Hmm.. I guess I had the same thought process as you are having now, so I would recommend Mamiya 😅 As far as I did my research, this was the “cheapest” option for the results I wanted to get.

The comparison I needed. Thanks. I have a Canon A1 with a 50mm and recently got a 645 1000s but sweet. Thanks for the video
That’s a nice combo to have! What lens you got for Mamiya?
@@DavidsKokainis 55-110 f4?
That’s a nice lens! I’m also thinking about getting a zoom lens for my Mamiya!
@@DavidsKokainis I’m slowly researching my next lens.

Keep it up bro!
How y’all doing?
Medium format has always caught my eye on the type of photos you can get with it. Any recommendations for a beginner to medium?
