Watch the full event coverage here! In a sold out venue at the O2 Academy in London, the Undisputed
B-Boy Lilou took his revenge by the win on the Red Bull BC One 2014 winner B-Boy Menno and became the first winner of the Undisputed event.
In 2007 Menno and Lilou battled at the solo B-Boy battle of the UK B-Boy Championships, organized at the same venue where the battle of the winners took place of the Undisputed event. In two groups using the round robin system the 8 B-Boys battled for their spot at the semi finals.
It was Menno and El Niño who advanced from group A and Alkolil and Lilou who managed to get enough wins to advance to the semi finals.

seymourglass26 i mean you never know first of all if issei wong then there wouldve been 5 people in the semi finals and who would the fifth person face. Like people said if you think about the system is flawed. They fed up the point by round and point by battle system. Have you seen gravitys third round, sloppy and short. Second round like kaku? Haha, yes he did headspins, but he killed some beats and had some footwork and a freeze. I like gravity dont get me wrong, i have been keeping tabs on the guy after all 2010 him vs lil g double backflip, amazing.

Lilou is just a mirror image of Benji. He can dance but most of his moves aint original.. Hes doing moves from Benji when Benji was doing them in the early 2000's. Benji challenged him and Lilou backed out!!!

Everyone probably knows me from my anti-Lilou comments on the BC ONE vids. I am not a Lilou fan but i hate when people jump on the benji bandwagon when Benji was being called out for doing the exact same shit Lilou was doing. He was considered one of the biggest biters years ago too. He defs created some dope blowups but he chomped a whole lot too. Do i even have to bring Ground Zero into this conversation? Fucks sake.
Who did Benji bite? And GZC was a crew that if you would do something way better than them they will throw the biting sign.. They just couldn accept that that there were more better crews than them.. I remembered when the got murdered by Style Elements. That it was GZC AND Skill Methods vs SEC.. Bboy Cloud didnt even wanna dance.

I actually really like Menno as a bboy but even I don't understand why he wins so much...against Alcolil especially, I thought he got some rounds he shouldn't have. He's original, but as he keeps battling he tends to repeat a lot and is lacking in both power and battle response. It's like...we get it, you have a unique style, but that alone is not enough. Maybe it's this Undisputed system, but all of a sudden he shoots to the top over other bboys who have been making all the noise until now.
James Liu really man... which part of shoulder rolls, knee rock/footwork, roll back, tap mills and knee glides is original? thats all you see from menno, same easy move but he just transition it and its not even that clean nor hit the beat. i still dont get it with the "menno flow" shit because its boring as fuck.
+James Liu He didn't suddenly shoot to the top. He has been winning lots of 1 v 1s for a while now. He has won BOTY, Outbreak Europe, IBE, UK Champs (twice), Unbreakable(twice), and many other solo competitions. But BC ONE was the event that gave him the exposure.

Damn. How could they even have moves left in the final after 12 rounds? Mad props. The first group was definitely weaker than the second. I'm glad my favourites Menno and Alkolil reached the semis, although they had to battle each other.

The event as a whole was very good. Judges unlike the Red Bull BC One were well righteous, not damaged, some basic errors, as the third round of Gravity vs. Issei, the Issei won and gave pro Gravity, but normal, nothing that harmed competition .. Lilou was more respectful of his opponents, used his own movements and was sovereign from the start. More than just gives victory to Lilou. What about Menno, many people question the way you fight, but if you look straight, is a very smart B-boy, most often wins the first round and makes the b-boys imitate some of your style, and that causes him to win the battle. He is smarter than a good fighter with movements.

Lilou more than deserves this. Only bboy to do a full toprock set and his dance is full of personality. He def still has it.

I like what Undisputed is doing in uniting 8 international solo b-boy competitions. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Undisputed_World_Bboy_Series I like the raw feel with the cypher and the round robin group stage. I don't think Undisputed is bigger than RBBC1 or BOTY or R16 Korea yet. I would love to see how Undisputed will develop in the future though. Can something like Undisputed be done for bboy crews? I dunno whats happening in the bboy world but this judging technique is a real shit 4 bboying, sometimes I have no clue WTF they r judging, Lilou crash twice on the final (53:40, 55:28) and made a 2nd set based on flares and windmills (small variations) 4 real dude and that 3-0 in the battle Gravity vs Isei wow. This added to the crapiest BC One I have ever seen is really freaking bad news. Fucking stupid system takes the soul out of this culture, now is all about making sets to smoke somebody then look on a screen 2 c who was lucky enough 2 get the point, instead of going out there and just break and have fun. I was in Paris 4 the BC ONE and the crowd (mostly Bboys) wasn't happy at all. Something needs 2 be done.

Cause people will always have opinions, same with judges at times all judges could agree sometimes 2 only agree etc etc, some decisions I might not agree with but who am I? I'm not at the caliber to asked to judge said events of this stature "robberies" happen it's the nature of the beast
yeah, the gravity one also bothered me, in my oppinion the should bring the musicality, origanlity etc.. system back in which each aspect is judged individualy

Lilou is a great B-boy, one of the best. Sometimes exaggerates the provocations, and its provocations viewed disrespect. But no doubt he is a great b-boy, one of the best for sure. For those who say he imitates the style of Benji, seeing the Undisputed is better to stay silent about it. Because totally changes their movements, at some time or another do some, because there is no way to totally change, but many movements are different. It does not compare, the Lilou is better than Benji yes, not the Red Bull, but the technique.

I agree with you, but Menno wins because he is most original and clean. and he doesn't have weak transition on his dancing, try watching his sets to understund, he is like a robot he doesn't breath loll
I have seen his sets, he really bores me. He reminds me of a seal trying to bboy or something sometimes. I just don't dig his style, thats all. There were plenty of other good boys in Undisputed that deserved to be in the semis. He flows well, but it seems like he hardly does anything new or creative.

Most of the battles were judged wrong! Rather than having the BC one Allstars and Storm always judging, change the judging line up more frequently.

Lilou can be a jerk, but I think that often that is just his style. His win was well deserved, His footwork was on point.
lol footwork? what footwork? dude does the same getdown to cclong step everytime. he def has other elements that helped push him on top, but his footwork is hardpressed to be named as one of them. I believe you meant his threads possibly.

Yeah I meant his threads, I just categorized his threads as apart of his footwork since he did most of them in his six step. It seems like the judges care a lot about footwork lately (as they should), but that kinda sucks for a bboy like Issei. I think a crazy power move on beat is better than some mediocre footwork that makes the set complete.
