That's exactly what I thought. I only discovered this song some days ago, I had never listened to Queen Forever. This song came randomly in my Play Music Queen randomly playlist and became INSTANTLY my favorite ever. The video seems to be issued straight from the good ol' days, and the footages fit song tempo and spirit, it is a great work.
Not the only one. It is sad he left the band because "Its different without Freddie." When Brian May keeps it going and Adam Lambert and also can't forget Roger Taylor.
Its Evan Queen started and ended with Freddie. Brian and Roger are such a great musicians, but the one they've been playing for the last 22 years isn't Queen. It just isn't. I hugely respect John's decision.

My father could not believe Freddy is dead, the news about that came later in Bulgaria...Your music was keeping us alive and kicking behind the iron curtain. Your music was prohibited during the communist regime in Bulgaria but my father was secretly buying vinyls from Serbia and all my family was raised with your music, a fresh breath in the grey environment... I just can't help my heartbeat rising when this stunning man looks from the screen directly in my eyes. What beautiful, mesmerizing eyes he had. Sometimes, I tend to forget that he has long been dead and that that isn't changing, ever. And then, upon realizing it, I feel this overwhelming sadness and the rest of my day is just sad and nostalgic. Even though I at first thought that it would pass soon, this feeling has been with me for the past two months and with each day that goes by, it seems that after realizing what he had done for all humanity in his dying days, how he gave himself to all of us, I entered a state of mourning that could very well last for years. I'm just so incredibly stricken by his story that I can't stop thinking about him. See, being born in the eighties, I've known Queen Songs and vaguely the manner in which Freddie passed away, but I only started exploring Freddie's life after seeing the movie and realizing that something was wrong with the timeline. So, for me, he died just recently. And I have absolutely no idea how to come to terms with it. Anyone feeling the same?
you summed it up perfectly. for those who have been Queen fans for years, while Freddie's passing surely still hurts, they have had time to mourn. I certainly didn't know him and knew Queen songs but wasn't a groupie growing up so i am just discovering a lot of their music now and getting to appreciate all of their legendary music but i am also brokenhearted because Freddie is gone. :( I'm obsessed with their music and their story as well and have spent hours listening to music and watching interviews. We are at least very lucky to have so much historical footage. i think it's going to take a while to come to terms with the loss of such a legend but in the meantime keep listening to their songs and remembering Freddie and all of the beautiful music he left us!

And the way he sings just heartbreakingly beautiful, his mannerism was so graceful and alluring. It makes my heart aches even more knowing he's no longer in this planet. I watched Bohemian Rhapsody 4 times. Can't wait for the video. However, I find listening to people talk about Freddie sometimes help. Footages of his good friends and those close to him being interview( on radio) help too. There are also quite a few books written about Freddie. Also, on Wikipedia/Google , there are heaps of newspaper articles behind many photos (if you click on a specific photo, there're often a story/article behind it). Freddie was a gentle soul, it's comforting to know he was treated very tenderly on his last days by Peter Stone(Phoebe), Jim Hutton, David Clark and his long term chef (ex lover Joe Fanelli) and of cause Mary. Actually, if I remember right, this song WAS autotuned but simply because Freddie's vocals were in three different keys originally. But that would be the only reason it would happen!

I am always amazed to read the posts of people from all over the globe. Crazy how Queen made such an impact on the entire planet. I noticed that there are Van Halen fans and Pink Floyd fans and fans of many other bands that love Queen. It seems it doesn't matter who you are or what you like, everybody loves Queen. I am always amazed to read the posts of people from all over the globe. Crazy how Queen made such an impact on the entire planet.
