Great video.... I am a photographer of kayakers in the PNW and I have always said you never see a frowning kayaker! Video certainly adds a great perspective that photos can't always convey
Its crazy how small our whitewater community is. For how good the cinematography is and your editing, for this video to only have 87 views is crazy lol. This is so good to watch. Thanks Seth for all your content. Keep crushing it and I'll keep smashing that like!
Nice action. Always good to see something other than the superwide GoPro footage, a system that’s fine as a C-camera, but not as single-camera filmmaking. That said, it is a burden to bring a Mirrorless body, a 28-70mm, a 70-2/300 and a drone on the river, when you really just wanna be paddling yourself. You may want to shoot a bit wider next time so the subject isn’t moving in and out of frame unintentionally, then crop in.
Hi Emmett! Primarily the Sony 70-300G, but a few others including the 24-105G and even the Helios 44-2 for a few shots. Probably could have done the whole thing with just the 70-300 and 28-60 kit lens if I’d needed to.
Excellent edit. The world needs to see how amazing the whitewater can be!
Seth, I just can’t stop watching your video. You captured what we do so well! I lone white water kayaking … it is my happy place
Thanks so much! Hoping to roll out a better one later this year. Stay tuned!
The world you create is a place I'd like to live.
It’s the world of PNW rivers. C’mon by anytime!
@Seth Ezekiel West if you want to film a pfd of any of those rivers, I'm 8 hours away. Only need the lines and a DS crew 😜🖐

Awesome job, now I want to leave work early and go kayaking.
All I’m saying is if you DID leave work early and go kayaking, I wouldn’t judge you 🤷🏻♂️
You are really gifted! Fantastic work behind the lens and with the edit as well. Great job!
Thanks so much man!! 🙏 🙏

Amazing video. Someday I will get into whitewater. Just can't right now, stuck with flat water and the bay.
Thanks Jim! As they say, “Ain’t nothin to it but to do it!” 😉

Dooo it! The world needs more good whitewater content!

Thanks for the feedback!
Hey Seth what lense did you use while shooting this amazing film?
Hi Emmett!

Hey man which band is this cover from? Love the vid btw!
Thank ya! That’d be this cover: ua-cam.com/video/HMthxcuA1A8/v-deo.htmlsi=tBOW12hHQYaDA5u0
what video format do you shot with on your a7c?
Almost all of this video was shot on the 1080/120p in SLOG2. A few shots were likely 60p or 24, but almost entirely 120.
thanks
