It is already difficult to motivate players. Also at this moment Strong players will seek each other out, which will further weaken less strong guilds. This takes people away from the game, there is no longer time to take it easy in a guild that is aiming for victory and people will drop out under the peer pressure of mandatory performance. I hope you find many new players to replace those who dropped out.

@@UBERnerd14 So, those guilds who have players who don't do Battlegrounds get shafted, those guilds who can't make it to the top 3 get done over, there are less rewards for the effort put in and unless you can dedicate extra time to the game you are also done. The only part of the updates I like is the 80% reduction cap, the rest just seems to penalise anyone unable to make the top tiers. Like the silver and gold buildings available through events only if you pay for the package/s. Many left owing to the silver and gold buildings, more left over fragments and the expedition changes, how many more will go from this? It feels like Inno is slowly killing the game.
1. If you're in a guild that doesn't do Battlegrounds, you need to find a better guild. 2. That's not true about placing in the top 3. Since the rankings (and therefore matchmaking) is based on your league points first, and the # of wins second, that means that the highest placing guilds will get put together, and the lowest ranking diamond guilds together. It helps fix the problem of bouncing between top of diamond, losing, and falling back to bottom diamond. It should be much more fair matchmaking, and should also make it a lot harder for those top guilds to just dominate (as they'll all want the prize). 3. Good news! You don't need as much time anymore. You'll only be able to fight about as far as 5x your max attrition on average, so no longer is fighting limited only by your ability to click autobattle over and over! Inno isn't killing the game - they're trying to make it more competitive and strategic. With GE, you now need defense boosts. With GBG, you'll now need more coordination with your guild. Guild Raids will probably add another dimension to that. Sure, those changes aren't for everyone, but it gives much more of a decision to the player on what they want to focus on. The game isn't focused on just attack boosts anymore :)

If you used to be able to fight to 100 attrition, now you can fight to 103 attrition! WOW!!!! Really?! A whole 3 more attrition? What a massive waste of time! GbG is the best thing about foe and they've ruined it.
It's extremely disappointing that they're getting rid of farming in GBG. I imagine that a lot of people will quit the game. I personally won't be logging in as much or spending as many diamonds since once I hit my attrition max there will be nothing to do for 24 hours. Inno is making a huge mistake. Also, time-limited buildings are useless.
I planned to quit before this gbg update. Now I'm not feeling guilty if i don't play for a full day to help my guild. Also, time limited buildings and the first place rewards are amazing. It pushes us to think this through, and it makes matchmakings in dmd league much more competitive as every guild wants those buildings, so the map isn't dead most of the time like it used to be. It made gbg more popular than it was before
I'll say it again. This will drive new player away. If you put the gold ring closer to new player they will keep playing and moving forward. This I think is, Only the strong survive. Get rid of the weak and keep the strong. The pass year or so, I feel Inno has been going the wrong way. We all seen alot of people start playing then never come back. I would say for every 10 or more player you might get 1 that stay. We need to increse that to 2 or 3 player staying. New player will help keep this game going..
disagree new players need to be in guilds appropriate to their level and they need to be in guilds where teamwork is good plus guilds will have to guide them more in how-to progress and contribute to guild treasury.
Guild raids is also in the works, and that will be the option for those players and guilds who don't like the new GBG changes. This is a fighting game and not a simulator game after all. I think Inno is doing a fair job at trying to keep the game fresh. To be honest just farming attrition free sectors in GBG was getting pretty stale.
To clarify, how many advanced per sector for each diamond map? You said something different than what the graphic showed (5:35). Thank you for the great explanations!
Whoops! Said it wrong. 200 Archipelago, 220 volcano. But that can be easily increased by the new province buildings, so unless it's an unowned province, it will probably be higher than those numbers :)
To late...players know the benefits of co operative play and the personal rewards have outpaced even ranking placement, as long as the top guilds stay in Diamond that is. We will figure it out but with reduced personal rewards and I doubt the Tower of Champions will entice guilds into all out war....like always guilds may try to gain placement through strategy by using available buildings but the current unwritten GBG by laws will probably remain to manage each season. Its to exhausting to run a GBG 24hrs a day for 10 days in all out war...its what prompted co operative play in the first place. Guilds now more than ever will have to co op to help each other manage goods and attrition over a 10 day period and GBG leaders will work together to help their members get the best out of each season.
i think most top guilds will easily gets a lv1 "TOC" in one championship. after all a guild woudl only need 2 first places (6000points) + just ONE 2nd place (1000pints) and atleast 1 3rd place (500points) wich means you can even be lower than 3rd TWICE in those 6 season during a championship, this is easily achived these days for any top guild, possibel even for top tier medium size guilds if they get weaker opponents. the elite guilds can maybe even get 5 1st places to get a lv2 cause thats 15K points or 5 wins (5x3000=15.000), for most thats never going to be realistic, as you can only afford 1 non-win out of 6 seasons.
Remember though, since rankings are also calculated based on your battleground wins, you get placed against the other most winning-est guilds. So the fight to get 15000 fragments could be quite competitive :)
My guild is the top GBG powerhouse on our server and we average 150K+ battle wins when swapping the whole map, but lately we’ve opted for half map to stock up on treasury goods (in addition to several other treasury boosting efforts). May the games begin!

I just see the big GB-Guilds win this thing and getting even stronger with the tower of champions lvl2 so the other guilds have even less chances to win against them ... a guild with 60 players will get 6000 guild-goods if everybody has the Tower lvl1 - a top guild with 60 players winning the GB-competition will get 24000 guild goods every day so they can build buildings in the GB much easier ...
You need 5 wins to get the level 2 Tower, I see very few guilds managing that. And if they do, good for them! What else should they do, give better rewards for last place?
A properly focused GBG guild will produce many more per day than the 24000 treasury goods referenced. This new tower will not put that much distance between top GBG guilds.
Each building has a set amount. The lowest level Barracks has 20%, highest level 60%. If you have, say, 20% attrition reduction, that means that for each fight you do, you'll have a 20% chance of not gaining attrition after that fight.
When does the new GbG start on the main server? The Championship lasts 6 weeks, so are they doing the full 6 weeks on Beta before bringing it to the main server? Also can you still auto build buildings with 50 diamonds like we can now?

Okay. Question. I placed 2 of the Fortified Guild Command Posts. They are the building that says it reduces attrition by 60%. Before the “update”, if you put 3 siege camps your attrition would not rise at all. With the 2 FGCP my attrition has risen 5 in 28 fights. This isn’t right. The 2 FGCPs is 120% NOT to increase the attrition. Sum ting wong

This is a cash grab by inno. Forces guilds to spend diamonds on buildings for victory points. If one guild does and the other does not the spendervsimply purchases victory for the season. Also this is quantity of players over quality. Top players are devalued and lesser players are enhanced. To win get to 80 players and spend diamonds like water.
Maybe I'm missing something, but why do you have to spend diamonds on buildings? Just... don't? As per the players, it means that you actually have to work together as a guild to succeed, which at least in my opinion is a good change.

You can’t wait for the building to finish at 3 hours as you need the victory points fit the entire 4 hour shift so you have to diamond each one. Or you can concede to the other guild who is willing to spend diamonds. It’s purchasing victory not working together.

It’s not the best players winning it’s the biggest. It destroys small and midsized guilds especially if they are strong. Weak small and midsize guilds won’t care because they could never compete. But midsized highly competitive guilds are now penalized and destroyed under new system. They have to grow/merge or they will have players leave. Hardly encouraging a guild to “work together.”
I think GBG is about to get a whole lot more fun. A good shake up like this is just what this game needs. It will definitely filter out the real players from those who aren't and create a lot of new strong guilds.
Terrible changes. This is a massive GBG nerf, it'll favour top GBG guilds to become even stronger against smaller GBG guilds, and thus will cause players to leave the game. These changes were not well thought out. Who was consulted on these changes? Only the DEV team and the BETA servers? You don,t balance or make changes that way. Competitive games out there have "pro" players acting as consultants. All to say, these changes are very disappointing and likely to remove the only fun that was GBG farming for many players.

Far from being a way for Inno to screw more money out of players, I think people are just going to drop the Battleground.... not really the boost to income that Inno hope it will be. In the current round, we are in an "Alliance" with 3 other Guilds, and we all hate it... and it seems that the majority of members in all 4 Guilds are saying that it has made the whole aspect of the game "unplayable", "unrewarding" and "not worthwhile"... requires too many resources (in game resources, such as Goods , Diamonds, Military Units, AND real world "Time") . RIP GBG!
well this use to be fun to play but going up against a sektor whit +180%(418hits) to take and whit 20-40% att will kill all enjoyment of the game and the winnings is all going to top guilds + fp winning are now so low ill get over 4x as many just collekting my city ill say STUPPID move FoE

I wonder if the guild matching algorithm is changed at all. If not "winning" a GbG round is still heavily dependant on the match.

I felt it was coming this week. Luckily we had our record breaking round with 100k fights. We never wanted to fight that much again anyways 😂
100k is solid, we had 140k, and we are the top Guild of our Server. But it was no heavy fight, so it could be way more

What does it mean attrition chance? Like 20-60%? Is it just random what attrition reduction it has for each building?

This is crazy, lower players like me have no chance to battle. Our guild has no chance to win any battles It's no fun anymore!!!!

Only use BG to finish quests.
