Swamy backed Modi like anything pre 2014 elections. Reason being, He was expecting a Finance ministry portfolio, did not get it. Worst for Swami was, the portfolio was given to Arun Jaitley, whom Swamy disliked very much. Since then he started campaigning against Modi. Best is, Modi and Shah ignored Swami brilliantly.

Swamy can never be accused of loyalty. Jan Sangh made him a Rajya Sabha member when he was in his early thirties. He was not loyal to the party. He used to start nasty rumours about Mr.Vajpayee. Modi admitted him into BJP in 2014. Since Swamy did not get a ministry, he turned against Modi too. I wonder how he gets funds to tour around the country frequently and talk ill of Modi.
